Worst battery life, Would not buy again!!!

I had this vacuum for 4 years and hated it for 4 years!!! On normal speed and with clean filters, this vacuum battery has NEVER lasted long enough to complete one room. Worst buy in a long time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best ever

I asked for this for my birthday, Best gift ever!!!!!!! We have always had a Dyson vacuum until about 5 years ago when we got a Shark vacuum because my mom wanted another one. She said that she loved it because of the lift-away mode. The same day I got my V8 on my birthday I threw the Shark away. I really recommend this vacuum and Dyson in general. My birthday is in a few days so this will be me and my vacuum's 1 year anniversary. I plan on asking for a Dyson fan and some attachments for my V8. If you are looking for good products buy from Dyson.

Better than expected

This is our third dyson as we own two homes. This model is by far the most powerful, versatile and possesses the longest battery life after a recharge. We love this model and all that it does for our home. Highly recommended!

Bought the Dyson V8 Animal in January as a holiday present to myself with a new kitten coming in the spring. Now I am giving one to my son and his wife as they have 2 dogs that shed like crazy! Best vacuum ever!

Can’t handle even the lightest jobs

This vacuum has be annoying and disappointing. My husband bought it for our condo and have been struggling to use it for the last 3 years. It clogs so easily and the battery power is lacking always dies out before I’m done cleaning. Also, it can’t pick up even my toy sized dogs kibble. I’d say only purchase this vacuum if you have a dog and child free home.

Beautiifully engineered!

Wow! The power of the cyclones! I was raised in a family of engineers and appreciate things that are thoughtfully put together and also outstanding in their function. I am a 75-year-old woman with arthritic joints and a bad shoulder. I also have a dog with a long coat and a cat that digs too enthusiastically in his box. The Dyson box arrived, and I had all the parts out and started charging in minutes. While waiting, I played with the direct drive cleanerhead, and discovered the clever arrangement for cleaning the brushes. With a full charge, I cleaned all sorts of things. To my delight almost all of the dog hair ended up in the clear bin. All of the spilled cat litter was cleaned up in the jiffiest of jiffies. Emptying the clear bin is a breeze. My V8 Animal is so easy to care for that another minute or two leaves the bin empty and the cleanerhead also empty of the few dog hairs that stayed there. Not only is this a superlative vacuum cleaner, but maintaining it will be almost effortless. Goodby to bags and belts!

Charging is par. Charging cradle is excellent. Powerful. Cool waste disposal system. The length of a full charge on max setting is extremely disappointing. I wouldn’t buy it again.

Great Product

We purchased the V8 Titanium Dyson model after owning a similar model. After several years with our old model, we determined it necessary to replace it as we had trouble replacing and properly fitting the battery. Plus, we really had a difficult time living without it. This V8 model, more powerful and easy to operate, is not a disappointment and works great on our floors.
