So far a waste of a lot of money!

Great for the 2 weeks it actually worked properly. Now it sometimes comes on sometimes doesn't. Surges constantly while running, brush bar doesn't always turn & no longer picking up properly. So far, a waste of a lot of money!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This thing can SUCK.

I brought this and have been using this for the last 4 years. The battery life that I experienced was on par with almost everyone else as well as those who've made reviews on YouTube. Despite the battery finally starting to lose its charge, I have a replacement battery that I bought and installed and I must say that this machine feels like its new again. I am looking to get the newer V15 Detect for my second home. Cordless vacuums are fantastic if you live in a single story or a apartment.

I love this machine (V8 Animal), awesome suction power. Awesome vacuuming time on battery, ease of use and emptying the dust bucket! Really a great machine...I love it!

My wife used her new vacuum today for the first time. Excellent. The only comment I have is that you need to work on a battery that will give more operating time and will charge quicker.

I have had my Dyson a couple months now. I have never used such a great product. I am still getting up so much dust with regular vacuuming its Amazing!

worst vacuum i’ve ever had

this is the worst vacuum on the market way over priced for what it does. every time i lift it up when i’m done vacuuming everything i picked up falls right back out onto the floor. at first i thought it was the attachment but i soon realized that every attachment does this. not only does everything fall out it barley even picks anything up and it only stays charged for fifteen minutes at a time so if you want to vacuum your house it’s going to take all day. just don’t buy this it’s so so bad

The Dyson V8 Animal has a run-time enhancing trigger. Battery power is only used when the trigger is pushed – it is not wasted when moving from room to room, or moving around obstacles. All of our cordless units do come switched on to MAX mode out of the box, otherwise, when not set to MAX mode, a full charge gives 40 minutes of fade free power or 30 minutes when using the motorized floor tool.
When using your machine in MAX with the direct-drive Motorhead, run time will be approximately 7 minutes. Dyson Animal variants come equipped with a mini motorized head which is designed to pick up pet hair from furniture and stairs. You can also use this tool with the machine in MAX power for optimum pick-up, if you find that standard power is leaving pet hair behind.
It's also unusual to hear that dirt isn't being sucked into the bin, and is falling out of the machine. We'd value the opportunity to assist you, to make sure your Dyson is working properly. I bought a Robo Vacuume and had to return it because it wasn't working as they were saying. I bought this one and it works fantastic!! I am very satisfied with this product:)
