This is indeed a great little vacuum. It is lightweight. Gets 40 min off a charge. Has great suction, goes from carpet to hardwood easily. Makes cleaning a breeze.

Quick, Simple, Easy to use for any size mess

Love this, just received it on Saturday and have already used this to clean a few messes its so quick and easy. My only issue is you have to hold down the trigger the entire time you are cleaning. No button exists to hold down the trigger down for endless suction. You are holding down the trigger with your hand the entire time which is turn will give you a hand cramp after a while. Again great product but they need to add sometime of power on and off for longer cleaning.

I have only had this Dyson Animal for 3 days and I amazed at how good it is at cleaning. I'm cleaning everything. It's so much fun to see the dirt and cat/dog hair my other vacuum left. The directions were not real clear on how to empty the canister, but I persevered and now it is easy (even put a grocery bag on it to keep trash can clean when dumping). It is light, rolls around and under things easily and even can get out cotton like long hair from my Persian cat and tough short Doberman hair that has worked its way into upholstery. I had a great smaller upright vacuum but it had a strong suction that I could not change. It strained my back and shoulder. I can now clean so many things,Animal beds,car, steps, ect. I highly recommend this vacuum for older persons or for those handicapped.

Completely dead after 3 years. My son gifted me a second one and this one completely died today. The battery won’t even charge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worth every dollar!

I bought this vacuum around Christmas time. I was very hesitant to spend so much money on a vacuum, especially since I already had a dyson, but I am so glad that I took the plunge and got the v8 animal! I have two dogs and two cats and this vacuum picks up every bit of fur they leave behind. The battery life lasts about 30 mins or so, but that is usually plenty to get done what I need to do. We are already thinking about getting another one, only because we love it so much and want to keep one on each floor....and so both of us can vacuum at the same time! Definitely worth the money!!!

Very limited power supply

It takes half a day minimum to have full bars and works for maybe 20 minutes don't buy into their false claims, they are not true. But it does work well when it does. Not worth the money by any means

Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. I'm sorry to read your review and learn of your disappointment with your V8 Animal. Your vacuum will come with standard and Max power modes. Our cordless models also have a run-time enhancing light touch trigger which ensures battery power is only used when the trigger is pushed. The total run time will be up to 40 minutes. In Max power run time will be up to 7 minutes, and in standard power, you can expect run times of up to 30-40 minutes depending on which tool or attachments you are using. Having a shorter run time does sound unusual, and we'd value the opportunity to go over your machine with you.

Lightest, Easiest and Most Powerful Vacuum We've Ever Bought

This vacuum is as reliable as the Dyson brand. We pick it up, its charged, ready to use and works wonders. I actually enjoy vacuuming now. Best Christmas present we've ever given ourselves. :)

I could not believe the amount of dog hair my Dyson was able to remove from my rugs the first time I used it and I have three dogs! This is a powerful machine, and it does an excellent job on my hardwood floors too.
