Power House

Recently purchased this cordless vac and it is amazing! Great attachments but more so amazing is the absolute power to vacuum furniture, pet areas, sun room, rugs and carpet with ease. As a multi-cat household - this vacuum is maximum important and totally delivers on all levels.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not a happy customer

I loved this vacuum and I tried it out for a few minutes everyday on the carpet, tile and hardwood floors. on the fourth day it stopped working. I charged it, thinking that was the problem, but it still didn't work. It is now sitting at the service center 30 miles from my home. I'm not very pleased with Dyson Absolute Pro.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Our V8 Absolute features two cleanerheads; a direct drive head with spinning brush bar - which is a great multi-floor tool, and our soft roller head, which was designed to be used on your hard floors. The soft woven nylon and anti-static carbon fibers make this the ideal tool for picking up finer dirt and dust from bare floor surfaces. It's very unusual, as well as disappointing, to hear that after just a couple of days, your machine exhibited no power.

More power, sure but with power accessory and on max, not much more runtime than before.
Power accessories work better than V6.
V6 - V8 power accessories do not interchange nor does wall charger.
Biggest concern is non-replaceable battery. Went thru 3 batteries on V6 in 3 years. May return based on reply from Dyson concerning battery.

Easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was skeptical on buying a cordless however it's is awesome, lightweight, and easy to use just grab and go with the vacuum . I would recommend it for anyone. We ended up buying 3 and gave our girls one for Christmas !

Battery Feature/New release

I am not impressed with the new switch to change the suction power. The low setting is too low to pick up much of anything; I even have hardwood floors. Yes, the better lasts longer on that particular setting, but it does not work well. Put it on maximum suction, and the vacuum does not last long at all, and the thing overheats.
The new feature of pulling up to release the contents of the container seems counterproductive as it will allow the dust to just puff out back into the air directly into your face.
I do enjoy the fact that it came with more attachments however, there were nowhere to put them on the wall mount. Unfortunately, this will make it easy to misplace those as I do not have a particular place for extra parts. I previously had the v7 version of this vacuum, and it was hands down one of the best vacuums I have ever had, except the battery life.

Can't say enough good things about the V8

This vaccum has made my life much easier, it does a great job cleaning baseboards. I have even used it to vaccum very tiny pieces of glass for something that broke in the dishwasher! We use this stick vac for cleaning all types of messes, I don't know how I lived without it!
