I have cats. It's a challenge keeping the floors clean with their shedding. My daughter received one of these as a wedding gift and I got to try it, and was completely sold. I like that the attachments are easy to switch and this vacuum just works so well. Easy to empty as well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I just bought this cordless vacuum and I hate it. It dies on me after 10 minutes. It's the worst!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The V8 has two modes:standard and max mode. Out-the-box, the machine is in max mode on default. Max mode provides up to 8 minutes of run time for particularly stubborn messes. Standard mode is ideal for the majority of cleaning tasks.

I bought this about a month ago to replace my previous Dyson handheld (which unexpectedly stopped working after eleven years of seriously hard use at both my home and in my office). I'm hoping this one does just as well. From my first month of use, it seems like a worthy successor. Great Job, Dyson!!

Works well on bare floors and low pile carpet. Power rollers get stuck in high pile carpets such as bath room floor mats.

Lightweight an easy to use

I got my new Dyson as an early Christmas gift. I LOVE IT. So lightweight, easy to maneuver around things...NO cords to hassle with and I only wish I had gotten this years ago....instead of wasting time and money on the others I have purchased. It's so perfect, I have no excuse NOT to vacuum daily now.
