Great initial results.

Our new Dyson V8 arrived quickly after order and was well packaged. After charging it for 5 hours to bring it up it full charge and power. We gave it a test run on a couple of our textured entrance mats. Our upright bag machine has a hard time pulling the material caught by these mats out of the grooves in the mat. The V8 did an excellent job of picking up the material. We than tested it on our carpet and was amazed it the amount of dirt and pet hair it picked us. We are extremely pleased with the initial results and are looking forward to long service from the machine.

I was very honored to be choosen to do a trial on this machine. I have bought several of the cordless vacuums. I used them and then gave them to my daughters because i already bought the uprights and canisters for them.
This V-8 has it all over the others (which i also love). The suction seems like twice as much, the base (head) is wider so it does the job faster. The battery light is a helpful feature. I hardly ever have used the max feature because this machine does a fabulous job without it. I have used it on carpeted steps as well and does a much better job. There is NOTHING I do not like about the machine!! I have one and only one suggestion and that is the button you have to hold while using it. I have gotten used to it, but i still think it should be an on/off switch.
I am very late with this review because of personal issues. I am sorry about that.

Incredible Vacuum!

I bought this bad boy about a month ago now and I'm so happy I did! For someone who works all the time and is barely in my home but like everything to be as clean as possible, this is the best machine for me! It's so easy and quick to use. The first time I used it to clean my entire home it lasted its full 40 minutes. Now, I don't spend more than 10 minutes vacuuming. I'm vacuuming much more frequently due to the ease of use that at the end of the week there's nothing really to clean anymore. It's revolutionary!

This is my 6th Dyson: 4 Animals and a Ball version for homes and office. I like the larger head, fewer passes over an area. The easy empty canister is improved so won't snap open accidentally when propping again a chair or counter. I like that I now have allergen treated filters and a longer life battery. With the 8, I can now get all my floor done on one charge.
I had just cleaned the day before this one arrived, using the upright ball and an Animal. While those left things visibly clean, I was surprised that I could also fill another cup 24 hours later. The dusting tool makes quick work of cleaning the main air return vent louvers, and the ceiling returns.
Great improvements!

Annoying don't go with name

I got a new V8 model a day back. Fully charged 3 times and each charge is taking 7 minutes in max suction mode and that is what the expectation as per customer service (Maximum was engineered to last 7 minutes).In today's world world you will charge something for 5 hours to get input of 7 mins. So I am going to return this as soon as possible. It is my bad I just picked it going with name and reviews, but after buying it got to know how annoying this. Also the machine is heavy and you need to press continuously. It will give wrist problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
