Prefect Vacuum

I bought this to go along with an upright Dyson I have,for quick clean-ups,and I love it. Suction is great,stairs are much easier to clean,and the versatility of being able to break it down as a hand vac means no more running up and down the stairs to grab the other hand vac,which is nowhere near as powerful. Only downside for me is not knowing where to put the docking station yet,but that's a personal problem and in no way detracts from my joy at having this.
I would recommend this to a friend!

GET IT, GET IT, GET IT. I WOULD NOT WANT TO BE WITHOUT IT. LIFE IS A LOT EASIER USING ONE OF THESE. WELL WORTH IT. ALSO THE ATTACHMENTS ARE PERFECT.

Meets all expectations

We got this in March, and have used it for carpet, laminate and tile floors. It has great suction, is easy for an aged person (active 70 year old) to handle, and is easy to empty. The attachments are effective and we are amazed at how much fine dirt it removes. We found that using it on its regular suction does a fine job, even with dog hair, so it will vacuum our 2 story house on one charge. It runs down a bit faster if you use the 'Max' setting, but still gets a lot done. Worth every penny. We bought ours refurbished.

It is nice. But I like the V6 better. I do get great battery life and I always have it on Max. I get at least 20+ minutes on Max. It would be better if: 1. it didn't take the battery so long to charge (over 3 hours) and 2. if there was a hold button on the "on" button. It was worth every penny. Also it's slightly heavier then the V6 but I have become used to the "weight". This is a great luxury and I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes to clean as often as I do (I vacuum my place almost daily). Dyson is a top notch company. I'm very happy that I saved up for this cordless vacuum.

Amazing cleaning

We received this machine last evening. Charged over night and used for the first time this morning. First off, you can carry on a conversation during use as it is that quiet. My bride vacuumed to room previously vacuumed with our other heavy weight machine and we were overwhelmed by the amount of dirt and pet hair the old unit missed and the Dyson picked up. I have to admit the price was quite steep, however the safety and freedom being cordless is worth it's weight in gold. You see my bride was cleaning the stairs with the old heavyweight and the thing fell down the stairs coming close to injuring her. That was when I made the decision to invest in the Dyson and am not sorry we did.

I love my v8 absolute

I've had mine for going on 3 months I love it works great even my husband likes it he brags about it to our son n laws we took it in vacation with us didn't take up very much space which I loved that I clean for a living it's made life easier taking it from place to place I use the small motorized attachment often I received several different attachments that's very helpful to get to the spaces that are hard to reach if I could change one thing it would be the long attachment I don't like it's plastic and doesn't fit real tight to the motor piece but other than that it's perfect to me n what I use it for both my daughters want one now
Everyone that vacuums should get one

Great Vacuum!

We thought we were just buying a vacuum to take care of quick clean ups. We were wrong. We use it in the whole house and are amazed at how well it cleans. We have 2 furry dogs and it does a great job. Yes, we have to empty it about 3 times to do the whole house but emptying is so easy. My husband and I find that we vacuum more often as it it so light and convenient to use. Just bought a V7 for our vacation house because we liked this one so much.

Disappointed about the battery :-(

It's light and convenient but the battery runs out before I finish cleaning my condo. I Hope dyson offer some alternatives soon.
