Super Convenient Vacuum

My son bought this cordless Dyson for me for Christmas and I can't stop talking about how wonderful it is. It has very strong suction and it's so convenient to use. I don't have to stop and start to move a cord from one outlet to another. Just awesome!!!

What a machine!

I just received my Dyson V8 Absolute yesterday. So far I am amazed at the job it does. I have tested it out on rugs and hardwood floors. It does a great job with dust (made by putting up my wall holder), cleaning up floor and rugs of dogs hairs I am not even seeing and dirt at the walk in door rug. Love having the multiple attachments. The stair attachment made that work a breeze. I have an older Dyson canister which has been my workhorse and I have been a fan of the company for years. This only reinforced my feelings about Dyson products.

Love/Hate relationship

I loath this machine! Ordered it three weeks ago and promptly received it a few days later. and now I'm vacuuming just about every day, and vacuuming things I seldom used to (vents/fans/baseboards). It deserves 6 stars alone, for how easy it makes ceiling fan cleaning!
And the battery has enough juice that I can clean all the floors in my 1.4K sqft house, and still have about 15 minutes of non-motorized tool usage time!
A true evolution in vacuuming, but its ease does make it addictive!

Quick and effecient cleaning

I purchased the V8 Absolute after using my sisters V6 while I dog sat for her. This is my 3rd Dyson product. I have had my V8 Absolute for over a week now and it is helping me keep my floors cleaner longer. I still use my DC 65 for cleaning the entire home on actual cleaning day. I use the V8 around the home for smaller daily jobs; grass, dog hair, small debris. It is almost thoughtless to get the V8 to clean up the kitchen after a meal and to spot clean. I have used the V8 to quickly and easily vacuum furniture. The V8 has helped my life by being able to grab and go and easily put away. This past week after using the DC65, to keep from having to plug in one more time to vacuum a small area that couldn't be reached, I grabbed for the V8 instead. The suction power is great Dyson power and I love how the dirt bin empties because I have a lot of dog hair and it comes out by itself. The dirt the V8 picks up is so fine, I only empty outside.
It did take me the first use to get used to holding down the trigger. I understand the trigger design is better because if your not actually vacuuming, you don't want it to be running the V8. If the trigger bothers you, adjust your hand until you don't notice - you will just be naturally holding it.
I love all the V8 accessories and I cant figure out why I use them more on the V8 than I do on the DC65. There is something just more convenient about the whole thing with the V8. I didn't know cordless would be so much more convenient. So much more.
I have not ran out of batter power and I use the V8 daily. My understanding is that the V8 is not designed to vacuum an entire 2000+ sf home at one time. It is designed to help you keep your home clean by being able to quickly grab it, use it on small messes or just the daily dirty areas in your home.
I am hoping Dyson will make a cordless mop to follow. I need one similar to the V8 to mop my tile and wood floors.

My favorite vacuum of all time.

I only vacuum once a month so a quality vacuum is not important to me. Bwahahahahah. I live in a house with over 300 pounds of dog and I vacuum every single day! This is my favorite vacuum of all time. I love love love it. It's powerful and quiet and the attachments are great...easy on and off and well designed for different tasks. This vacuum really holds a charge, too. I have one of the early cordless models and it has been a worthy vacuum. But the Absolute shows so much improvement over the DC35. In fact, I prefer to use the Absolute V8 over my corded Dyson, which is a great vacuum also.

Love vacuuming!

Just got this new machine and have vacuumed 3 times in the first 24 hours because it's so easy to get out for quick spills or a running over before bed. With 3 kids and 2 dogs I don't know how I lived without it!
