Great for a quick clean up

This is a replacement for my well-used previous Dyson cordless (model unknown). I am delighted with the additional power and suction. This does almost as well as my Dyson upright plug-in clearing dog and cat hair out of my oriental rug with a black background. it cleans the cars easily and is a delight. Not noisy enough to scare cats and dog, so that makes it even better when I MUST clean up during their mealtimes.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best vaccum

I've had 2 other cordless vacuums that just werent sucking up dog hair. The first time I used it on me 4'x6' area rug, not only did I have to empty the canister twice, but I watched my rug change from gray to beige. The suction lifted the rug. I do wish I didn't have to constantly hold down the on button. It would be better if there were an on and off button. Other than that, it is worth every penny!

I was doubting getting the dyson V8 I thought because there are newer models this one wasn’t going to be as powerful but I was wrong! I’m glad I went with this one and saved some money. I’m very impressed and now I get excited to clean my home lol.

Love this thing. I'm not a neat-freak or anything but this particular vacuum almost makes me want to clean.
Basically, I run it on high-power all the time. When it dies after 7 or so minutes, I'm done for the day. Encourages you to clean often, but not long.

We have the V8 animal stick vacuum

We’ve only had it for a week and we’re appalled that our two German Shepherds produce enough hair and dirt to fill the canister almost daily. We have used a Dyson upright for years, but never daily. This is so easy to use that we will vacuum much more often. It works great on vacuuming dog beds as well! If it keeps up as well as it has begun, we highly recommend this!

Happy with the V8

I bought this cordless because my experience with my Dyson corded was so positive.
We wanted a small cordless vac for our little pied a terre in NYC. The V8 does not disappoint. It's very light, very maneuverable, has all the attachments we would want, and picks up extremely well on the hardwood, the tile and the carpet (the latter with the standard head). The battery life is adequate for the one bedroom+den apartment. Fairly easy to empty. Yes, it's not cheap, but so far worth every penny.

I love my cordless vacuum.
Pro's- easy to use and actually fun to use.
Con's- The fluffy head seems to be a bit awkward to use. While I am vacuuming on my tile floor feels like it glides it self without control. I don't like that it feels like the fluffy head is guiding it self and I am just following it instead of me being able to guide it.
