Great New Features

I had the previous model V6 and emptying that one was always a hassle. The V8 is so much easier to empty because I don't have to pick out the lint and dirt around the center cone in the bin. The extra run time is also a great feature and I can clean an entire floor of my house plus a set of stairs with motorized tools on one charge. The max power switch is also much easier to use, and the battery level indicator lights are quite nice to check charge levels.

I believe I have had my Dyson for close to a year. Personally I would not buy this for a house that is carpeted. I have all wood & tile floors and it works great. Also have one area rug that doesn't have a deep nap and the Dyson cleans my dog's hair off the rug. I clean the Dyson regularly according to manufacturers instructions. No problems at this time.

Excellent cordless vacuum

I wanted a cordless Dyson as my Dyson Animal Ball has treated well. I wanted a cordless vacuum as the corded units are a pain throughout our house. This unit fits my needs. It has a few quirks, doesn't want to pick up small bits of kibble dog food, but overall I am very happy and highly recommend this. It has been trouble free and find the battery lasts a long time in the lower setting.

Trigger area is uncomfortable for small hands

BEST VACUUM EVER!

I've been researching this product and design for some time and finally purchased based on positive reviews along with being highly recommended by a friend. It is quite simply THE BEST VACUUM EVER! So very easy to use, lightweight, fantastic suction, and it's cordless!!! The canister empties without a hassle and battery holds a decent charge. I could not be more pleased with this model, and with 2 dogs it will get regular use while saving me from lugging out my heavy upright. Thank you Dyson!!!

Love the improvements!

I recently purchased a V8 Absolute to replace my 5 year old DC44 Animal that died. I love the improvements Dyson has made to this product. It has more power and suction, a longer run time, and it is so much quieter. The quick connect for the attachments is great. In addition, it is easier to empty the bin. I couldn't be without this product!

Among what's out there in my budget, I LOVE my dyson 7 just watch out not to get any water in there, when it got mixed with the dirt inside, made a very nasty odor blowing in to my face while vacuuming a couple days after, but with the help of YouTube "washing Dyson 7" got it cleaned & still works great. Also I don't need to put it on high speed at all, low speed would do perfect job as well as saving the battery. The only thing is a bummer for me is on hardwood it wont get the seeds or hard stuff right in, you have to be patient with it.
