Great vacuum!

We are really happy with our new Dyson. We have allergies and vacuum often. We were skeptical about cordless vacuums but were pleasantly surprised to see how much dust and stuff the V8 picked up after having already vacuumed 2 days earlier.
I would recommend this to a friend!

You might think its too much to spend on a vacuum, it's really worth it. It gets down deep in the rugs an works excellent in extended run mode as well. comes with all the attachments you need.

An extremely flexible and capable machine. In addition Dyson stands behind its products and warranties. They replaced an earlier Dyson V8 when it had a defective battery. An excellent product backed by a wonderful company. I most strongly recommend it!

Very disappointed!

I own 3 Dyson vacuum cleaners and thought i would like a cord free vacuum,
In december of 2019 i bought a Dyson v 8 absolute and was truly looking forward to use it. After using it for almost 2 month i have to say that it is my least liked appliance in the house. It is very cheaply made and the different parts wiggle and wobble. The fact that i have to keep the On button pressed the whole time is very cumbersome and also the vacuum turns on and off by itself the whole time i use it! I do not like it at all and would never buy another cord free vacuum from dyson!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We wouldn't expect to hear that your vacuum feels cheaply made. I’m happy to inform you that Dyson cord-free machines are made from polycarbonate ABS - the same material used in riot shields and crash helmets. They are tough, so we subject them to hours of testing, including drop and impact tests. Regarding the need to hold the trigger down during use, we know that battery run time is a very important aspect of performance for our owners, so we developed a trigger that helps maximize the amount of time you can clean on one charge. We chose a light-touch trigger over an on/off switch to ensure that battery life is never wasted by letting the machine run when it's not in active use. This helps to ensure that you're not wasting power when moving the machine from room to room or around obstacled such as furniture. If you are noticing that your machine is turning on/off repeatedly during use, or making a pulsing/revving type noise, this would indicate that you have a clog/blockage some place within the machine, or that your filters need to be washed. Excellent vacuum

Has great suction, is very lightweight and easy to use. My first cordless vacuum. I will never go back to cord. working around corners and edges is very easy. It is so easy to use it makes you want to whip it out for a quick vacuum.

Does very good with one exception: battery life. It only vacuums two rooms then dies and takes a while to get charged .
