Great Product

The Dyson V8 Absolute attacks dirt.
Every time I use this vacuum, I am amazed by the weight, the battery length, and how much this can pick up. Also, basically every attachment you could need is included with this model.
My only complaint is a simple one... The placement of the charging port. During the dry winter months, the charging port has a tendency to produce a static charge and give the palm of your hand a little zap. It would be nice if Dyson would include a small cap for it.

Serious Flaw

I'm very disappointed in this vacuum. I have the V8 Fluffy because we have hard floors throughout our house. I like the convenience of not having a cord and being able to get the machine under furniture. But this machine has one serious flaw. We have two dogs...setters...they are not dogs that shed a lot. Still, the hair wraps around the tiny tiny wheels on the cleaning head and is IMPOSSIBLE to remove. Though much of the unit can be disassembled for cleaning, there is no way to remove those wheels. Despite using tiny scissors and tweezers, I cannot get all the hair out. So the wheels are stuck and don't glide and smudge the floor because they just drag. I am very unhappy, having spent quite a bit of money only to have a machine that smudges the floor and frustrates me every time I use it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're sorry that you've encountered an issue with pet hair accumulating in the tiny wheels of the floor tool for your Dyson V8™ vacuum. Regarding the hair caught around the tiny wheel on your cleaner head, We've found that a pair of tweezers is the perfect size to remove those hairs. You'll want to be sure to check your machine, generally, I recommend after each time you vacuum, to remove any hairs wrapped around those wheels or the larger brush bar. They are typically easier to remove when there are just a few present. If you are not able to remove the hair, let us know, and we'll be happy to offer further assistance.

I bought one and my wife loved it so much that I bought a second one so we have one for each floor of the house. Easy to use and does an excellent job!

We only have hard wood and tile. I love how well my new Dyson works. I can pick up the dust and not just push it around. I can clean so many things easily.

Only had a couple days, but the soft brush is great & easy to use on my new luxe vinyl floor. Used hand held for cleaning up dog hair on couch & in car. Easy, lightweight and powerful.
Suggestions for improvement: 1) On/off switch rather than having to hold on button. 2) Extra battery 3) have another level of suction between low and max

This machine is awesome. Cleaned 3 bedrooms, stairs and living area with the V8 and had to empty the canister 10 times.
