I like the V8 much better for it's suction and less noise. The bin has a notch in the front bottom inside which keeps the dust building up in that place. It wont allow the dirt to circulate and fill up beyond the notch to the fill line so I have to empty it every 5 to 10 minutes. I don't think it has to be there for any reason unless for the hinge so I wish they would change this. Very important to me.

Not only is it sleek and easy to use, its easy to put together and so lightweight my kids actually enjoy vacuuming! I enjoy it myself! I have had back surgery and it's really hard for me to be able to push and pull for a long time. This makes it so much easier for me! I can actually do my stairs with no issue! Even though it's battery-powered it lasts a long time! You can switch the settings and it will last even longer! It is also super easy to clean the filter. One pull and it empties our into the garbage and you are done! It comes with the attachment so you can reach your ceilings and get all that dust and webs that form. I honestly cannot believe I waited so long for one of these. I highly recommend it to anyone who vacuums!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Dyson V8 Motorhead Origin Vacuum is lightweight and powerful! I was very impressed at the suction of this vacuum. It was easy to put together and comes with three main parts to assemble. Each part clicks easily together and with a push of a button can be taken apart. It only takes a short amount of time to charge the vacuum completely. There are two modes of power, max mode and powerful. I prefer to use the vacuum in the powerful mode, as the charge will last longer, and I am able to finish my entire house. If I need to use max mode the charge only lasts about 7 to 10 minutes, but is very powerful. There are two different attachments that I can use. A brush to use for upholstery or smaller areas or the longer Motorhead attachment to use on carpet or hard flooring. The head swivels which makes it easy to move in all different directions while I am cleaning. I really like that this system is bag-less and with a pull of a button, I can empty the debris from the bin without ever getting my hands dirty. The filters are washable and it is recommended that this is done monthly. I also like that this system is cordless and can easily be transported from room to room and even up my stairs. This system comes with a mounting dock that was easy to install. I like how all of the parts clip into their places and the system can charge while it is being stored. It is always ready to use this way. Overall, I really like the Dyson V8 Motorhead Origin Vacuum Cleaner and how well it cleans. It is so lightweight and easy to carry up and down my stairs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am thoroughly impressed with this vacuum. It is lightweight, very versatile and the battery last long enough to clean the whole house! First charge took about 45 minutes, but now it takes about 15 minutes to be fully charged after each use. It comes with a wall mount that is very cool, you can charge it while its mounted and it holds the attachments on it as well. I'm very amazed by the suction on the vacuum. I've always had issues trying to get the dog hair off of my furniture, but using the floor attachment without the extender attached has worked amazingly well. You can feel how powerful the suction is on this, and it also has a max suction option as well for a short burst if more power. One thing I absolutely love is that hair doesn't get wrapped up in the floor roll on the vacuum. I have never had a vacuum that this didn't happen on. Everything comes apart and goes back togather with a single click, so adding or removing attachments and cleaning the filters is very easy. It's also very easy to empty the canister, and with just a tap everything falls out. For such a small vacuum, this one has far surpassed every other one I've ever owned.

I don't have to bend down and scrap the stuff lose to get the vacuum to suck it up. The handle is a bit heavy after a while of using it, but it's worth it I think.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to say that we really like the New Dyson V8 Motorhead Origin with some reservations. It is definitely powerful enough that we have stopped using our old H)&(*ver. It is easy to use on all surfaces and seems to perform equally well on them all with most types of dirt. It has a little trouble with fine sand or salt on hard floors, but eventually gets them. I also love the filter system. It is easy to change and clean...all cordless vacuums should use this method. The bin is pretty easy to empty..though it requires more effort than some of the members of my family can provide.
The biggest downside to this Dyson is that, at max power (which is where you would always want to use it) the thing kills the battery in about 9 minutes or so. That is not enough to do much work. This is further exacerbated by the fact that this machine does not have swap-able batteries...so you either have to settle with about 28 minutes of medium power that will not clean all the dirt up, or only be able to use this as a spot vacuum for small areas. Somewhat disappointed that there does not seem to be any resolve for the issue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Why did I wait so long to get a cordless vacuum, a Dyson to be more specific. This vacuum beats any other vacuum I’ve owned so far. And I had and have quite a few. First thing I did was charged it. It fully charged in less than 5 hours. All you need to do is connect the tube and suction part and you’re ready to do. I was amazed by the power suction this vacuum has. It’s light and so convenient and easy to use. Before I knew it I was vacuuming the whole house. It works great on all floor surfaces. We have carpet in the bedrooms, hard floors and stone floor throughout the rest of the house. This vacuum is worth every penny. You’ll love it too, I promise !

And, the lasting charge it has for each use is long lasting for me to vacuum my entire carpet. It come with power heads to fit all floors.
