I've been using it a couple of months. So far it is great. A little heavy for me to lift up and clean walls or ceilings. I would have liked a hose attachment for this. The tiny wheels on the bottom get stopped by cat hair (mostly) and are very hard to cleanout. I tried wd40, and mosquito hemostats. It helped by didn't free them up completely. Other than that, it is great. seems powerful and I like that it tells you when its full or blocked.
I would recommend this to a friend!

2nd one we bought not cause the other broke, we just wanted another on on the 2nd floor. Now we don’t have to wait for the battery to recharge. We just grab the other one now. Thanks dyson

Awesome just wish the bin was bigger!

Its very lightweight and it moves easily. I have two Great Danes who seem to shed all year round. So my only issue with it has been that I wish the bin was bigger! :) I like that I can get under some of the furniture with it....that is awesome! I haven't used all the attachments yet but I love the stairs attachment. My old Animal was an upright and it was very heavy and harder to maneuver compared to this new one. I haven't had an issue with the run time at all so overall I'm very pleased!

We have used other brands/ models and have not been satisfied.
They usually do not adapt from low to high surfaces and lack longevity ( worn out wheels, motors etc.) The V8 is exceptional for the hair produced by our two German Shepherds. The two heads and adjustable suction settings handles are very accommodating.
Only downside is the battery life is limited, but cordless mobility is invaluable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love my Dyson

This is the easiest to use and best vacuum I have ever used. Other vacuums caused me such back pain I hated to vacuum. Yes, it was expensive but totally worth the money.

Would not buy again

Not happy with this vacuum, dust bin does not open on its own. Have to completely remove it from the vacuum to empty it from the other end. Was mailed another dust bin, still does not work. Now I need to buy another vacuum , and it will not be another Dyson.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Our V8 cord-free machines provide hygienic no-touch bin emptying. If you are finding that the latch is sticking, or the bin door is not popping open, it can become jammed. If the bin base door is closed prior to pushing the cyclone back down, this can cause a jam resulting in the trouble you've been having. Good, but still glitchy

I guess I was expecting miracles, maybe that’s with newer models. The 8 seems to vacuum well, and it is light. The turbo mode is very strong. It maneuvers very well in most corners but it takes some finesse to figure out best angles for corners. The charging stand is quirky, it takes effort to get the charge connection. If you’re not super careful it won’t charge. Plus, once you put the plug into the stand, it doesn’t seem to come out, at least easily. You need about three feet to get an arc that will make a charging connection. I had to move the stand to accommodate. The bottom of the canister came off but after a YouTube search it was easy to fix. I had a shark and this is far better, at 2x the price though.
