Love this vacuum. No cords to get in the way. Just grab and vacuum. Powerful suction and no bags to bother with. Just clean and dump

I bought the V8 a couple weeks ago. I love how lightweight it is, and it’s so simple to change the attachments. I’ve been cleaning a little more thoroughly because it’s so easy to use. I’m very happy with the product!

Just a toy, sorry i bought it

battery lasts for 8 to 8.5 minutes, never longer, i have timed it over and over. this is a very expensive toy, great for a very small mess, totally worthless for a room larger than a bathroom. not ready for prime time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry that you found the run time from your V8 Absolute to be disappointing. Based on the run time mentioned in your review, the machine is being used in MAX suction mode. In MAX power, run time will be shorter due to the added boost of suction power. You should find that suction in standard power mode is sufficient for most tasks, while MAX is better suited for tough cleaning jobs. When using regular suction, you'll receive 30-40 minutes of run time, depending on whether you're using one of the motorized floor tool.

A Christmas present from my hubby I had been asking for this vacuum for a while. So happy with it! It’s much quieter than my V7 and the battery lasts much longer. It also has great suction. So my V8 is my vacuum for upstairs and the V7 for my finished basement. Love them both but the V 8 is quickly becoming my favorite! Thank you Dyson! You make fantastic vacuums!

My daily user....light weight with powerful suction. I rarely use my Kirby anymore. This vacuum spoils me. Love it.

We purchased a V8 about 1 1/2 years ago and it worked flawlessly, until recently. It cleans well and cordless is the only way to go. Then it started to have a problem and needed a new motor assembly unit. After waiting for several weeks for the replacement part that was out of stock, Dyson sent an entirely new V8 vacuum cleaner with all the accessories. They truly do stand behind their products.
