Life changer!

I never thought I’d say I was happy to get a vacuum for Christmas but here I am, the ecstatic owner of a Dyson and I don’t care when I received it, it’s great. My daughter in law said “it was a life changer for me” and she’s right. No more messing with the canister and hose and cord. Zip, zip and I’m done.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A little disappointed

Can not vacuum 1-2” carpet without shutting down . May return.

The Dyson V8 Absolute is suitable for most flooring types. However, we are unfortunately unable to test our machines on every flooring and carpeting permutation. Therefore, we always recommend that you contact your carpet retailer/manufacturer before using your new Dyson or any other vacuum cleaner. Some have restrictions on suction power, brushbars and even brand.

Time saving, good performance vacuum

Purchased from the Q, money well spent. Look forward to using all the attachments. Thoroughly cleans laminate and area rugs. Had couple months, so far very pleased.

Better than my big Dyson upright !!!

My daughter had bought the Dyson V6 and told me how much she loved it. Then I bought the V6 animal for our small vacation home and was totally in awe!!! I couldn't believe how light it was and yet had so much power!!!
So I immediately went online to buy one for home and discovered that there was a new more powerful V8 on the market, with a longer battery life. I cannot tell you how much I LOVE this vacuum!!! I live in a relatively small two story home (approx 1800 sq ft). On low power I can do my entire home, including baseboards, windowsills, cobwebs and stairway with ease. I have two dogs that she'd a lot and vaccume a couple of times on low powe (which is still very good) and then once a week on high power. When using high power I usually have to split the upstairs and downstairs into separate days or one in the am and one a few hours later.
If you live in a large home, you may want to split up your cleaning tasks.
I also love the wall mounted charger which keeps this baby out of the way and ready to go whenever I need it.
Best vacuum I have ever owned and worth every penny so far. I had previously owned a Dyson upright that was still going strong at 12yrs old, so hopefully the V8 will hold up as well.
My only recommendation for improvement is to have a removable battery pack, so you could have multiple batteries charged for large homes.
I highly recommend this vaccume to anyone who lives in a small to medium sized home, in need of a light weight, heavy duty vaccume. This Dyson V8 can not be beat!!

Best Vacuum I've Ever Owned!

I have owned several high-end vacuum cleaners over the last 40 plus years. I'd seen many Dyson commercials and often wondered if their vacuums really were as powerful as claimed. But it wasn't till I saw a late night infomercial in a hotel room while out of town, wherein this V-8 Absolute model was picking up bowling balls, that I was sold, lol! I picked one up as soon as I got back home! Now, nearly 3 years later... I am still telling anyone and everyone that this is the BEST VACUUM ever! It is so light weight and hands down the most powerful vacuum I've ever used! And Dyson's customer service is truly amazing! Highly recommend!

My wife is very pleased with the Dyson 8. So much more power than the 6 plus the charge time is less. Not having a cord running across the floor is great.

We recently downsized to a condo. The V8 Absolute seemed like the perfect match for mostly hard floors. The soft brush head is great on hard floors. The re-charge time is quite good. And the power on MAX is surprising for a cordless. One complaint: no lock on power. You have to hold down the button if you want to vacuum. I'm a Dyson fan but I admit I sort of miss the power of a corded vacuum. Still, we've downsized...
