Easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a curved stair case that draws dust and the Dyson made short work of sucking up all of the dust and grime. It only took me a few minutes to clean plus it cleaned around the wrought iron rails so easy. I hated to clean the staircase with the swiffer which left a lot of dust behind; not so with my new Dyson.

Simple - Right out of the box

Very intuitive and easy setup right out of the box. I have both wood an thick-carpet floors, and the Dyson V8 has had no problems cleaning everything off any kind of floor. Attachments are a breeze to install and remove - no issues using them to clean out both of my autos. Recharging is a snap. A fine choice overall!!

Anyone who has German Shepherds will agree that they shed 24/7 no matter what season. Our home is multi level and all hard wood or tile flooring throughout. So with that said, our new V8 kicks butt! It's light weight, turns on a dime and being that there is no chord I can go from floor to floor easily and quickly for my daily clean ups. The canister is small but emptying it is quick and easy. I only wish that the battery life is a little longer but that is no big deal because this vacuum is a beast.

I bought my vacuum a couple of weeks ago, I have had a old model Dyson for years.
The new vacuum is great easy to use and lightweight.
Clean like a pro!

Disappointed

I’ve always bought Dyson vacuums because they are the best but I’m disappointed in the cordless. I can barely finish before the battery dies and it doesn’t have the suction I thought it would have and you have to hold the button in the entire time you are vacuuming. My finger gets a cramp so I have to keep switching fingers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Dyson V8 Absolute also includes a direct drive motorized brush bar, which is designed to provide up to 150% more brush bar power than the Dyson V6 cord free vacuum.
Your vacuum will come with standard and Max power modes. Our cordless models also have a run-time enhancing light touch trigger which ensures battery power is only used when the trigger is pushed. In Max power run time will be up to 7 minutes, and in standard power, you can expect run times of up to 30-40 minutes depending on which tool or attachments you are using.
