Great vacuum

This vacuum was a birthday gift from my mother. She loves hers and bought a new one. I have a cat and was complaining to my mom about the cat hair - I live this vacuum so much, it’s so convenient and easy- I vacuum everyday.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Simple pleasures

I bought this for easier use even though I was betraying my tried and true Dyson DC14 Animal. I can't believe how much time this saves me. I have two dogs who shed and it has made a world of difference. Everything is working as planned. Now I can have my friend with her baby over and feel great about letting him crawl on my floors! Fantastic product and easy peasy lemon squeezy.

I would have bought another version

The vaccum works great if you have a small home or are only using it for one specific section of the house for 15mins. I have already expired it run out of battery very quick and I have only use it in High function and it just doesn’t last 20mins. I am not sure if it battery related but I don’t think that’s normal. I would have love to use it for long period as it does say that it lasted 20mins and in reality it does not in my case. I would love to do an exchange to dyson v15 and pay the difference as I would be able use it longer and it doesn’t just clean, it is for hypoallergenic, sanitizing etc much more can be done with the V15. I really would have bought it if my store had it in stock. This V8 is not so great .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Nanette, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you're not having a better experience thus far with your Dyson V8 Absolute. Your machine offers two suction modes; regular and MAX. While MAX does provide a great boost of suction power for larger debris or more stubborn messes, it does give less run time; about 7 minutes on a full charge. We wouldn't expect that MAX suction power is needed for your everyday vacuuming, and you should find that regular suction works well for that. This mode will give you 30-40 minutes of run time, depending on if you're using a motorized floor tool. Having a shorter run time does sound unusual, and we'd value the opportunity to go over your machine with you.

Great suction

I bought the Dyson V8 because I had a new longhaired kitty and my old vacuum could not get into all the places she would travel. Now I vacuum frequently and have no problem with cat hair.
I would recommend this to a friend!

easy to handle

This is my 3rd dyson. No plugging & unplugging
I seem to get my vacuuming done faster
I now own: DC07 ,DC50and my newest addition V8 absolute
All stil in good working condition
My husband calls me the queen of the dyson vaccums
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not enough time on higher suction

I can't even vacume my sectional on the higher suction. Disappointed because that's the reason for the expensive purchase. I called Dyson and they said it won't work very long. Not even 5 minutes!))))))
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry you were disappointed with the run time your V8 offers. Your vacuum will come with standard and Max power modes. Our cordless models also have a run-time enhancing light touch trigger which ensures battery power is only used when the trigger is pushed. In Max power run time will be up to 7 minutes, and in standard power, you can expect run times of up to 30-40 minutes depending on which tool or attachments you are using.
We do suggest and recommend using regular suction mode for your everyday household cleaning. This mode does provide sufficient suction to tackle most household messes. You should find MAX suction mode can generally be reserved for really stubborn messes when a boost of suction is needed.
