Love it!

Received this a couple weeks ago. I have a cocker spaniel and he sheds, but I was amazed how much fur it picked up on just the regular setting. I was able to do my whole house (1338 sq ft) on one charge. I’m a senior citizen and can handle the vacuum cleaner very easily.

Sewing Room Clean up

Love my new Dyson. No cord to drag and trip over or pull out of the plug. We purchased the Dyson for my sewing room. My husband is tired of pulling threads out of my sewing chair wheels or like last time replacing the wheels. Now we find ourselves using the Dyson as our go to vacuum. Quick and easy!

Note: This review is for initial quality only. However, as I currently own several Dyson products, I expect longevity with this product as well.
My first impression of the Dyson V8 upon unboxing was how many attachments are given with this vacuum, which is splendid other than a place to store them all. After charging the Dyson overnight (only 5 hours needed) I was pumped to use it the next day. It didn't disappoint. First thing I noticed upon turning it on was how quiet it was, which caused pause since I wondered if it would clean as well as my other two Dyson vacuums (a handled & upright). To keep this brief, this one Dyson vacuum replaces my other two. Here are some highlights that were important to me:
1. No cord
2. Quiet
3. Nice suction, but maybe not as strong as my Dyson upright (which I have had for 7 years no trouble). Extra passes were needed for the dog hair in carpet. Not a big deal.
4. The wood floor tool is a DREAM and best cleaning tool I have ever used for the hardwoods! I no longer need my Swiffer!
5. The small beater bar attachment for handheld mode is great for getting at any furniture upholstery, comforters, etc.
6. One vacuum that does it all: house, furniture, ceiling, car, quick cleans without the cord, etc.
The only con when it ever comes to Dyson is price, but that price pays for research and product development that are superb. So, I bit the bullet many times with other vacuums & fans, but they have been excellent and reliable. If there was a problem, Dyson replaced & compensated. It's rare that a company stands behind a product so proudly. That is why I'm okay saving and making a larger purchase in getting a product & company that I trust.

I didn’t think I would like but I really do. It does a great job and I love not having to plug and unplug the vacuum. I have ordered my son one for his house.

Love my Dyson. I have 2 dogs that shed constantly and my Dyson helps pick up a great deal of the hair and dust. I use it to dust and clean my blinds and window sills, bookshelves, and air vents throughout my house. All nooks and crannies! My one concern, is the hair build-up on these tiny wheels is almost impossible to remove. Any ideas?

The machine is easy to use, very light that even my 2-year old son can carry by himself. It has some attachments for different cleaning situations. I wish Dyson will invent a vacuum-mop duo in the future.
