Very Nice

This is by far the best vac I have owned. Only fear that a that some day this battery is going to die and I’ll have to buy a whole new vac. Short of that small fear I would recommend this to anyone. Battery lasts long enough to do whole house. The small motorized head cleans the car great.

Love my Dyson

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Dyson V8 after my regular Dyson Animal died after many years. I also watched a friend use hers for two years. This machine vacuums cobwebs and trim more easily than my former machine. Love it!

Zero battery life Disappointed

Worked great in the beginning but for the price not worth it. I’m lucky if I get 2 minutes of time to vacuum. Loved the attachments and versatility however just not practical because he can’t get the job done.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Holy attachments!

Great vacuum but I wish there was a way to just have the on switch hold while vacuuming rather than constantly pressing down on it. The different attachments are great! I received the car cleaner for free but haven't had a chance to use it yet! Great for picking up dog hair on low pile carpeting and super quiet! Very easy to clean the canister.

This vacuum is worth every penny! It sucks dust, YES DUST! You know, that fine silt almost like powder? It sucked it right out of that rug I THOUGHT was pretty clean...... I'm in heaven! This was made for my obsession with cleanliness. Thank you Dyson! And the hepa filters make it easier to breath while using my awesome vac and I swear the air is cleaner too!

Disappointing for the $$$

This vacuum was an extreme disappointment. The description of the battery time is very inaccurate. The battery lasts at best 5 minutes when on full power (which is usually necessary for me to have proper pickup)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Your vacuum, while smaller, lightweight and cordless, can still pack the same power as a corded vacuum cleaner. This will all be thanks to the powerful V8 motor which spins at 110,000rpm, providing you with powerful suction, making our cordless machines the most powerful cordless vacuums.
Dyson V8 models also feature two suction modes; MAX and standard. Please keep in mind that the V8 offers plenty of suction on normal power to effectively clean your floors because of the motorized brush bar. MAX power is really only needed for tough cleaning jobs. Also, while many do use Dyson cordless machines as their main vacuum at home, if you prefer a longer run time, we’d recommend one of our compact uprights or canister models.
