Needed a vacuum that didn't work me.

I suffer from C.O.P.D. so there were several characteristics a vacuum, I will use, needed to have. It needed to be light, easy to use, efficient, thorough, clean operating, and probably most importantly, enjoyable to use. Now, most people would say, "How can vacuuming be enjoyable?". Well, when your environment is clean, and dust free it will be a lot more enjoyable, as any asthmatic will attest. Seeing the amount of debris collected, and not seeing, or smelling a cloud of dust follow you thru the process was very comforting. Thank you Dyson for engineering a product of this caliper.

Vac is excellent in all respects except for one: there should be an on/off switch such that the vac can run continuously without having to keep constant pressure on the trigger with one's finger. If there is a lot of vacuuming to do, a person's finger/hand can become fatigued and even sore.

Great Vacuum

My Husband bought my Dyson V8, I really like it a lot It really Performs well!!! I like that It don't have a cord attach,I can just move around easier to vacuum the carpet and floor, take it out to our vehicles not worry about enough cord to plug in with out it pulling out. Rechargeable battery is great. Very pleased with It!!!

Does a great job on my rugs and floors. It is easy to use and with 6 dogs need a powerful vac that can pick up their fur and sand. More convenient than my Rainbow. Find myself vacuuming more often.

Good suction but battery only lasts 2-3 mins

Work well if the battery can work better. Not sure why my one only last 2-3 mins in max setting. The low setting works around 8-10 mins only

Hello Raymond, this is Kelly with Dyson. I'm sorry to hear that you've encountered a short run time with your Dyson V8 Absolute. Your vacuum will come with standard and Max power modes. Our cordless models also have a run-time enhancing light touch trigger which ensures battery power is only used when the trigger is pushed. In Max power run time will be up to 7 minutes, and in standard power, you can expect run times of up to 30-40 minutes depending on which tool or attachments you are using. Having a shorter run time does sound unusual, and we'd value the opportunity to go over your machine with you.

In love with it!

I traded my older animal cordless in recently. What a difference, better suction, much easier to empty the canister, quieter, and 40 whole minutes of suction! I prefer using this to my Dyson Cinetic canister!
