Great vacuum

My husband says that he will vacuum now, since I got this vacuum. That is a win for me and tells a lot about the quality of the vacuum.

Has cut my vacuuming time in half

Love that I don't have to change outlets from room to room. Maneuverability is great. Mine came with a bad battery but Dyson sent a new one to me fairly quickly. Only complaint is it rubs against my first knuckle of my thumb and I have to make an effort to hold it in an unnatural way to avoid that. Wish they would put some type of soft padding in that spot. I might try doing something like that myself.

Great cleaning ability from a stick style vacuum. There was long hidden stuff in our carpet that the Dyson devoured. Great machine!

v8 Animal is Great!

I love my first ever Dyson, the cordless v8 Animal. Without Kenmore, I had to go with a new brand after so many decades, and some fellow residents (at) where I live recommended Dyson. I do love seeing my dirt, dust, and other interesting particles collect in the transparent bin -- and to empty it cleanly!
I also love it's modular design. It makes it so flexible to clean virtually everything you can think of.
I would recommend this to a friend!

GREAT GREAT GREAT Vacuum, but it is a SHOCKER!!!

This is a Great Lightweight, Long-Lasting, and Easy to Use Vacuum but two things I have problems with are:
1. Constant ZAPPING from the handle.
2. I have to manually hold the button to use the device.
1. The shocking/zapping from the handle is an issue I consider to be a major problem. This zapping normally occurs when used over carpet, and that's when the vacuum will shock me. I called Dyson and was told that this is a known issue and that this is caused by static shock. I was asked to wipe the unit down with a "dryer sheet". This did temporarily stop the static shock but the issue still persist. Please keep in mind that this is not limited to my Dyson V8 and that I was told this is a known issue.
2. If you purchase this vacuum you will noticed that its designed like a gun and you musts constantly hold the trigger while vacuuming. After some time your index finger may become fatigued because Dyson didn't add a latch that will keep the device on like every other vacuum I've used. Imagine using a conventional upright vacuum and you have to continue to press and hold the power button while cleaning your floors.....ummmm I don't think that would work for the buyer.
Now!!!!!! besides a few zaps/shocks here and there and a cramped index finger this product is AMAZING,FANTASTIC,SUPERB,FIRST-CLASS, WONDERFUL,FAVORABLE,SPLENDID, and all other synonyms I cant think of at the moment for just being great!!. It will go everywhere I need it to go and reach areas I normally couldn't reach with a bulky conventional vacuum. The suction is extremely powerful, even though there is switch to change the suction to regular to most powerful I generally stick with the regular suction and haven't had the need to switch to the most powerful setting.. That works great for me I strongly urge others who purchase the Dyson V8.....oh and by the way these are my thoughts on the Dyson V8 and this is not a paid review although I wish it was....hahahha Thanks for reading and please Have a Great Day.....
