Nice vac, but cannot use it on throw rugs, it jams

Nice vacuum but it continually jams on throw rugs, so it is not as effective in between major cleanings, as I had hoped. Might be better if you could turn the brushes off or you could adjust the height.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This sucks more than ANY corded upright i have ever used. It is not only an excellent performer but it is light and easy to use as well.

Battery lost 80% capacity in less rhan 2 years

Very disappointed. The battery empties out so fast its almost useless. I had expected more from Dyson.

Battery degradation over time is completely normal for any rechargeable battery, like that in the V8 Absolute, and that in your mobile phone or laptop. However, the amount of battery degradation is minimal.

Excellent choice

I have had my Dyson V8 about a month. Powerful and lightweight. Battery gives me enough time to do a quick vacuum over four rooms or a good deep cleaning of one room with a couple charges. I have not used my corded dyson since I got this one. Love the convenience.

I have a central vac and my dyson is so much nicer to use. No dragging the big hose and attachments all over the house. I’m a dyson convert !!

Handy and Powerful

V8 was delivered yesterday and my wife and I already love it.
It is easy to use and very convenient. I thought my carpets were clean, but I was surprised how much pet hair and dust came up with the V8.
I don't think vacuuming will ever be fun, but with the Dyson V8 it is a lot less of a chore.
The Dyson V8 provided good value for the money.
I would recommend this to a friend!
