Great Suction

I've used this a lot and love the suction it has. What I don't like is that I can only vacuum one room before having to put it on the charger. I wish you could buy an extra battery to switch them out or that the battery would last longer to vacuum the living room, dining room and kitchen. I do like that it's lightweight and you can detach the handheld to vacuum furniture and hard to reach places.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Vacuuming is now FUN!!! LOVE my new Dyson!!! So easy to use, wonderful attachments & simple empty canister make vacuuming a breeze. I used to dread lugging out the vacuum, but now I find myself vacuuming every day. Charge is more then sufficient, I run it on the lower setting and it picks up wonderfully. Would highly recommend this product.

I love my new Dyson!

I have been using the V8 absolute for about 2 weeks and I wish I had bought this sooner! I also own the DC44 animal which I loved too, but I think this is a wonderful upgrade for my house (all hardwood with few rugs).
Here are the two features I love on my new V8:
1.Tangle free cleaner heads (soft roller and direct drive)
-Before I bought the V8, I used the DC44 almost daily for quick clean ups after kids eating, around the edges, stairs, etc. I always use the small crevice tool to pick up any visible long hair before using the carbon fiber turbine head because so much hair tangled in that tool and I always had to clean it after each use. It was quite annoying. I really love that nothing really tangles my new cleaner heads. It saves me so much time and headaches!! However, I do like to use the crevice tool to "vacuum" all the dust/fine hair on the cleaner heads to keep it nice and dust free.
2.Cleans hardwood floors so well without leaving a film of dust
-The soft roller cleaner head is perfect for hardwood/tile/concrete floors. It picks up all the fine dust and dirt and I never see a thin layer of dust even if I no longer use my duster after vacuuming.
I also like it is easier to clean the canister, but you still need to get your hand in there to pull some hairball out at times. It is not as easy as just opening and everything falls out on its own.
Battery life is much better, however, I have only been using the V8 for my second floor and not the entire house like I did with the DC44.
The only feature that the DC44 was better is weight. I was able to hold my baby with one arm and vacuum with the other. I tried it once with the V8 and both of my arms were shaking after I was done. However, I am sure that has to do with the better battery life and the bigger canister. So it is not a big deal to me at all.
I haven't used the soft dusting brush and the mini motorized tool.
This cord-less is pricey, but I think it is worth it if you can afford it. It makes cleaning so much easier so you will be more likely to clean. I am glad I didn't just get a cheaper/bulkier machine and end up not using it as often as this one!

Cons: Clogs up easily, seems to be losing intensity as it ages.
Pros: Easy to carry up stairs, out to the car and for quick clean ups around the house.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

BEST VACUUM I HAVE EVER HAD

I bought this 6 months ago because I wanted a lighter weight vacuum for the logs that cross my vaulted ceiling. I also have a long arm quilt business and 2 Cavaliers so pet hair and thread everywhere. This is better than my Dyson upright that is about 6 years old. I have hard wood floors and carpeting, ceiling fans, logs and stairs. This is the BEST. I am considering purchase of a second battery since I use the power head most often.
