This thing sucks!!! But in a good way!

Amazing, vacuumed our carpet just after using our old vacuum and couldn't believe how much more stuff came up using the dyson, Gross!!! Only reason we gave it 4 stars instead of 5, when we use it, we occasionally get little shocks in the hand where the plug would go. It would be nice if the battery would last a little longer. But then it might be heavier. Either way we love our new vacuum.

The Bad

People speak of Dyson like it's the "Rolls Royce". I finally got one and totally expected it to be perfect in every. way. Was it? Absolutely not. 1. You have to hold down the trigger for it to work. Imagine having to do that for 15, 20 minutes at a time. My hand was getting crampy. 2. There is no power off button. I don't know how many times I've accidently held down the trigger while performing other functions like changing attachments, cleaning out the canister(?).

This vacuum only worked well a month or two. Then started pulsating. They said it was the filters but I always cleaned them. The insisted on sending new filters and surprise it still does not work. BREAKS EASY And FAST
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you're run in to an issue with your Dyson V8 Absolute, making a pulsing or revving noise. This is not a machine defect, nor does it imply that your machine is broken. The pulsing is a built-in alert to let you know that either your filters are dirty and need to be washed, OR, that there is a blockage some place within the machine, ie: wand, floor tool, etc. We have found that issues like this are easily resolved by some simple yet effective troubleshooting that you're able to do right at home.

Pretty cool

Pleasantly surprised at how well this little thing works. I also liked the many tools that came with it. The only issue I have is the bin opening mechanism - it’s a pain; it always takes me several attempts to get it to open. And it seems a bit flimsy, so I wonder how long it’ll last.

Easy to assemble. Suction is good. Bought for camper easy clean up! Only thing it’s hard (at least for me) to empty canister . Love the holler but have couple accessories can’t hang , thinking of buying the 15 for home .

I love the vacuum even more than I thought I would. It is handy and can morph into many configurations. It has tool storage which is very handy and doesn’t take much wall space. The only cons are it is heavier than I thought it would be and my finger gets tired holding the trigger. It would be wonderful if you could lock the trigger.
