This was a present and its been several week since I've had it. This vacuum is amazing - it picks up EVERYTHING and has a different head for any kind of household surface. Its super impressive and sucks up things my old vacuum never could. It also comes with a side bag to put all the heads in.
A bit heavy, so I wouldn't buy this for my grandma, but you can hang the charger on the wall so its just chillin instead of taking up closet space.
This makes your adulting needs complete

I recall my first vacuum cleaner, the classic Electrolux torpedo. After that I've owned numerous brand of vacuums. This Christmas Eve I was at a friends house and saw the Dyson V8 hanging on the wall. After checking it out I knew I had to have one. The price is a bit daunting but it's worth every cent. I Love This Machine!
It's the best damned vacuum cleaner I've ever owned. Light, powerful, easy to use, easy to clean, and it does a great job!!
5 star rating from me, and I'm not easy to please.

I used this vacuum over a carpet I had just vacuumed with my hoover and was amazed at how much more dirt the Dyson picked up. I love it!

Had high expectations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very good, not as good as I expected. Disappointed in battery life, and would love if it had a changeable battery, tor charge faster.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

V8 Very convient and Quiet

I love the V8. It is very light, convient to use and quiet. I find my self vacuming more often. I have a wood floors, tile and wool area rugs, no problem, never runout of battery. Suction is much better than I expected for a hand held, dirt bin filled even after I vacumed with my Electrolux. My only wish is that it came with more tools like the V6 absolute I purchased for my son.

Dyson V8 is such a pleasure to work with that I sometimes find myself looking for more places to vacuum. I could vacuum all day with this ABSOLUTEly versatile and powerful housekeeping tool. Each time I empty it, I am amazed by the volume of dirt and dust it picks up. Need I to add that we are already inseparable since Dyson V8 came into my household two days ago?

Life Changing

The Dyson V8 Absolute is our first Dyson. We both love it! Vacuuming is actually FUN now! The V8 has lots of power and goes under chairs and furniture easily. It's lightweight and much easier on our backs.
The only tiny negative is that the molly bolts provided were flimsy and my husband had to rework how to get the docking station attached to the wall securely.
I would recommend this to a friend!
