[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I know the power of a dyson initially my mom had one growing up! This is amazing though I never seen something pick up so much dirt and so fast made my hardwood look amazing as well! Love love love it

I have the V6 Cordless and I love it but this one is so much better! It's quieter and a lot easy to empty. I have a dog that sheds often so it's hard to empty but this one just one step and it's empty.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We finally had to replace an old V8 which we really depended on. The newer version is even better. We actually bought two new ones. Light weight, easy, great for pet hair, goes from hard floor to carpet and works great on rugs too.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Quits working

We have replaced the same part 3 times. Works good for a couple months, then goes out. Not worth the money and aggravation.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

V8 > V10 Dust Bin Opens Conveniently

I own two of these, one for upstairs one for downstairs. I also owned the V10 and tried the other omni glide. But this one is the best one, hence I bought a second one recently.
One major advantage of this over the V10 is how the dust bin opens. I can simply pull the trigger over a trash can to empty dust. The other newest models of Dyson vacuum you need to disconnect the stick in order to empty the dust bin, which is too inefficient and annoying :/ ... I hope Dyson would go back to make this kind of dust bin mechanic for future vacuums, otherwise V8 is the only vacuum I would use.
