finally clean

this little guy is incredibly powerful and versatile. the first time I vacuumed my "already clean" carpet, I couldn't believe the amount of hair and fine dirt that my new v8 sucked out of the rug.
While deceptively light and easy to use, the results of this beauty are astonishing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love it! EXCEPT the battery running time

I’ve been in love with Dyson for a number of years except I can no longer deal with the weight of it. I purchased the V8 Absolute which I absolutely love ....EXCEPT the battery running length. I read the reviews saying it has a 40 minute time but thats not on the floors and max power. Expect an 8 minute running time for vacuuming floors. I have to do some each day everyday to get it all done at my house.

Love this vacuum! Lightweight and great suction. Only con is there is no interchangeable battery and charge doesn’t last over an hour. In a condo it’s not a big issue for me but may be for someone with more sq footage

For years we’ve watched the Dyson commercials, the various products and innovations. We just bought the portable Dyson V8. We have another portable vacuum that we’ve had for a few years that’s not performing as well as it has in the past. It was 1/4 the price of the Dyson V8 - we had our doubts, but the return policy was more than fair. Wow!! It performs far better than the other portable and even better than our corded vacuum. We love it and haven’t found anything detrimental to say about it.
Actually, we’re so impressed with Dyson that the upright corded vacuum is scheduled to arrive tomorrow and as soon as the Dyson AirWrap is available in my wife’s preferred color, we’ll be adding that to our personal Dyson product line.
The Dyson V8 portable is so well thought out! Ease of operation, multiple useful attachments, small footprint and the simplicity of ensuring a good charge show just how well thought out this product and by extension everything else that Dyson manufactures is compared to the competition is amazing!!
Great job Dyson!!

excellent machine

I am a shark fan because it was inexpensive but I have always want to buy this machine from V6 now V8. It was on sale so I purchased it. when I put it in use, it put Shark Vacuum to shame it picks up little particles stuck in the deepest part of the carpet. I was relieved that I did not spend money for nothing. It is light weight and able to do my whole house in about 30 minutes (1700 square feet). I just wish it can cost a little less

my machine bottom covers comes off every time we open to clean. Now I have battery problem. no matter how much I charge, battery last only 5 min.

Would have been a 5 star rating, but I have one little problem. When using it, my thumb gets very sore from holding the on/off switch. Yes, seems small but I'm in my 70's and have arthritis, especially in that hand. I have to be very conscious of how I am holding the vacuum to mitigate this. I am able to vacuum my entire house by taking advantage of the 2 suction settings - max for the carpeted area and min for hardwood floors. It's the perfect weight and I do love it.
