All of the attachments are fantastic. This is by far my favorite vacuum I’ve ever owned. It picks up everything!! You’ll be shocked out how dirty your floors really are.

The vacuum is a nice piece of equipment. It works as advertised.
I have two main problems,
1- Is too heavy and I have to rest because my hand hurt after few minutes of use.
2- The suction is good ONLY if you use MAX. At that setting the battery life is 10-15 minutes. Then takes 2 hours to get fully charged again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought my V8 about a month ago and have been very happy with it. With my old vacuum cleaner it was difficult vacuuming, I had to worry about the cord and the unit was very heavy and cumbersome so I didn't vacuum as often as I should;d. My Dyson being light and cordless and agile makes it so easy that I use it daily and my apartment has never been cleaner.

My husband bought this one week ago and we are amazed at the great job this little powerhouse can do. We have a central vac, but when I used the Dyson on the carpeted stairs and saw the difference it was like night and day. Not to mention the Dyson is so easy to use, no long hose following you or getting tangled. I do wish you could purchase an additional tube to enable reaching up to vac. walls, blinds and curtains.

This is my first Dyson and first cordless vacuum. I love the cordless feature. Very convenient and I vacuum even more now because I don't dread pulling out the vacuum and plugging in and fighting the cord. The battery life is awful, but this is my first cordless so I don't have anything to compare it to. On Max suction, the battery life lasts 9 minutes and takes 4 hours to recharge. On high suction extended run the battery holds enough to vacuum about 1800 sq. ft. About 20 minutes. Still takes 4 hours to recharge. The suction is great, just like a regular vacuum. It is hard to push and pull on carpet and thick pile rugs, but perfect on hardwood floors which is what most of my home is. I started out with the V11 Outsize Absolute+ and the suction was amazing on it, but it was SO heavy, I had to ice my elbow after each use. I was able to return it and exchange for the V8. Was sad to let go of 2 batteries and larger chamber but, my elbow was more important. What could they do to improve? 1. A lighted vacuum head. I attached a cordless light to mine with a command strip so as not to damage it, but it falls off here and there. I like to see that I have vacuumed up every hair and lint on my hardwood floors. We need a light. 2. Currently the V8 battery cannot be exchanged, it is built in. A removable battery with option to purchase two. Or even better, make the battery last longer and charge quicker. 3. A slightly larger chamber for the debris. It fills up quick. Pets!!! Overall, I am keeping it and happy. Giving it 4 stars only because it is PRICEY for what it is and the improvements are much needed given the price.

Very good until it needs service

We've had this for a few years and it's done very well, but when we needed a new battery, it took an hour to diagnose the problem, and the greater than 2 weeks to get it. Dyson uses a primitive tracking system, so one can't even find out when it's coming. Also the need to wash the conical filter and wait 2 days for it to dry is a real poor system design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
