I underestimated how much time I could save.

I had an opportunity to borrow a friends V6 and was shocked at how quickly I vacuumed our 1100 sq. ft. bungalow. But it was a little loud and the frequency bothered my wife. Bought the V8 and it is significantly quieter on the normal power mode. So powerful that it wants to suck our thin area rug away from the wood floor, a minor problem. Thicker area rugs are unaffected. Complaint: WHY DOESN'T DYSON OFFER A EASILY REPLACABLE BATTERY OPTION?? I would gladly pay more. Using a combination of the power-sucking head and the non-powered bare floor head I had just enough battery to clean the 1100 sq. ft. main floor and vacuum my small SUV. Again, replaceable battery. Highly recommended.

Just what I needed.

My sister had been telling me for months how she loves her V7 Dyson vacuum cleaner and that I should get one. I did some research and finally bought the V8. So far it's just what I've been needing, light weight, easy to use, and so far holds the charge good. The wall holder is very convenient. My only complaint is it's advertised as yellow, but mine is orange.

I took a long time deciding that this was the vacuum for me. When I finally bit the bullet and bought it, I was immediately in love. I love that it's so light weight, suction is great for my needs and the ease of changing attachments makes me smile every time. I thought the trigger might give me a fit but the touch for the trigger is so unbelievably light that there is absolutely no problem. I have Berber carpet in half of the house and plank vinyl in the other half. The run time on the low setting is perfect for me and I do vinyl floors and dusting one day and carpets another. Seriously, I could not be more pleased.....AND THERE'S NO CORD OR HOSE TO DEAL WITH!!!!

Effective with dog hair but gentle on fabric

I bought this vacuum to tackle the massive amount of hair that my yellow lab leaves on the floors and furniture. This vacuum and attachments are terrific. I’m able to use them on hardwood floors, my couch, my rugs, and the all the walls. I’m incredibly satisfied with this purchase!

Love this Vacuum, But could use some improvements!

I recently purchased this vacuum for my mother who is 88 years old. I took it to her house to put it to the test and WOW! She kept telling me that her vacuum (very cheap model of unknown brand) was doing fine! Let me preface this with the fact that my mom recently had allergy tests which revealed she was allergic to DUST MITES! When I saw that the HEPA filter accommodated for this, I thought its time to take the plunge. Anyways, I vacuumed her house to put it to the test and let me tell you! I was shocked the garbage that came out of her rugs! It was easy to use and love the cordless feature! I would like to have the option to keep the trigger pressed without fatiguing my finger to keep it operational. Also, it would awesome if when you go to empty the canister, the wand and bottom attachments stand on their own. I have to lean the unit up against a wall or lay it on the floor to keep it standing. These two improvements would make this vacuum a "10" in my opinion, if they were made! I hope you will consider my suggestions :)

I love this vacuum. It’s the perfect size, light yet powerful. I love that there are two settings for suction. It works wonderful and honestly I have zero complaints about it!

Convenience and powerful

This is a very handy and easy to use cordless vacuum. I use it to dust as well as vacuum rugs and hard floors. I am always amazed by the dirt in the bin. It's very powerful. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star is due to battery life. If it had the ability to accept a spare battery it would be 5 stars. I can only do one room of dusting and vacuuming before it dies and needs a full 5 hr charge.
