As far as the machines ability to clean is outstanding. The only problem I have with it is that the battery life is too short for me. I have a dog that is constantly shedding. If the charge time was considerably shorter this wouldn't be an issue for me. Minus the battery life, it is an outstanding machine. I would recommend this product to a friend.

I've had several Dyson vacuums over the years and all of them are still working and have exceptional build quality. This V8 is no exception. I use the V8 at least 5 days a week. Very good suction, useful attachments and ease of use.

Good vacuum

I am happy
With my purchase but I dii on have a couple of suggestions for improvement. Why does the power button need to be held on? It creates an uncomfortable hold by requiring this function. Wish it had a light by the brush attachment.

I had an opportunity to borrow a friends V6 and was shocked at how quickly I vacuumed our 1100 sq. ft. bungalow. But it was a little loud and the frequency bothered my wife. Bought the V8 and it is significantly quieter on the normal power mode. So powerful that it wants to suck our thin area rug away from the wood floor, a minor problem. Thicker area rugs are unaffected. Complaint: WHY DOESN'T DYSON OFFER A EASILY REPLACABLE BATTERY OPTION?? I would gladly pay more. Using a combination of the power-sucking head and the non-powered bare floor head I had just enough battery to clean the 1100 sq. ft. main floor and vacuum my small SUV. Again, replaceable battery. Highly recommended.

Just what I needed.

My sister had been telling me for months how she loves her V7 Dyson vacuum cleaner and that I should get one. I did some research and finally bought the V8. So far it's just what I've been needing, light weight, easy to use, and so far holds the charge good. The wall holder is very convenient. My only complaint is it's advertised as yellow, but mine is orange.

I took a long time deciding that this was the vacuum for me. When I finally bit the bullet and bought it, I was immediately in love. I love that it's so light weight, suction is great for my needs and the ease of changing attachments makes me smile every time. I thought the trigger might give me a fit but the touch for the trigger is so unbelievably light that there is absolutely no problem. I have Berber carpet in half of the house and plank vinyl in the other half. The run time on the low setting is perfect for me and I do vinyl floors and dusting one day and carpets another. Seriously, I could not be more pleased.....AND THERE'S NO CORD OR HOSE TO DEAL WITH!!!!
