Great Vacuum, Horrible battery life!

We have had Dyson‘s for 20 years - very happy with the suction power but the battery life is absolutely horrible. The fact you can only get seven minutes on maximum suction means you have to have a second vacuum or do your cleaning on different days.. can’t clean your house completely in one day because you’ll be constantly recharging the vacuum. The performance is great- but the battery is horrible.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thank you for your review. The V8 Absolute is a hassle-free vacuum with powerful suction. The powerful direct-drive cleanerhead removes ground-in dirt and pet hair from carpets, and self-adjusts to pick up dirt and debris from your bare floors.
Your machine also features two suction modes; MAX and standard. Please keep in mind that the V8 offers plenty of suction on normal power to effectively clean your floors because of the motorized brush bar. MAX power is really only needed for tough cleaning jobs. MAX can generally be reserved for more stubborn messes or larger bits of debris. It does only give you about 7 minutes of run time, while regular suction will provide 30-40 minutes of fade-free suction for everyday cleaning.

Excellent Cordless Vacuum

I previously had a V-6 and own a V-7 but a month ago decided to purchase a V-8 Absolute model. I love it! The suction power is great. The soft brush for hardwood floors glides so smoothly over the floor that ii seems the vacuum propels itself. The small brush is an absolute necessity for cleaning the stairs, sofas, and inside the cars. I have not tried the dusting brush yet, but it looks good for dusting the furniture. I am quite satisfied with the purchase.

Waaaaaste of money, after 1 and a half years this is always giving us problems the filter light that always flickers stops this from working , worst purchase of my life such a waste of money

Remember the feeling of your first Super Soaker when you were a kid?? This is the adult version! This thing has all the fun of a power tool, and as shocking as it sounds, it makes vacuuming fun!! Not only that, my apartment floors have never been cleaner, and my girlfriend is thrilled for the added help! LEGIT!
