Really works

In the several weeks that I've had the machine I am amazed at how much dirt it picked up from a seemingly clean floor.
The mechanics of emptying the collection bin took some practice.
The Dyson isn't terribly heavy but I have found that the base of my thumb hurts after using it. Perhaps the handle could be curved for a better hand hold fit in future designs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased this as a gift for my husband's birthday last month as a hint that we need to keep the floors tidier. Boy have things changed around here! It is now a snap to clean my floors, ceilings and cars. No more struggling with cords and outlets and because it is so convenient, both of us use it daily. What a dependable timesaver! I highly recommend this lightweight portable gem of a vacuum.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far this does a good job at my area rugs and hardwood floors. One thing I would suggest to Dyson is change the trigger to have a switch for on instead of always having to keep your finger on the trigger to operate. It gets tiring holding it down to stay on when operating a wide area. Other than that, so far so good, I would recommend.

Received a refurbished V8 and it would open to dump nor could you remove top to empty from there.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Our high quality refurbished machines have gone through our Dyson Refurbishing Process and then been thoroughly tested to meet performance standards. Each machine that is approved for shipment as a refurbished model has passed a detailed inspection and tests to meet the same standards as a new machine. Units may have some cosmetic blemishes that include scratches and/or other surface imperfections, that do not affect functionality.

Makes the stairs runner a breeze to vacuum works great on the area rugs and bare floors.
The small beater brush is fantastic on the car. Do you think I like it? Yes!

This vacuum has very good suction power and is very easy and light to maneuver around the entire house. The reason I gave 4 stars is that it does not move swiftly on my carpeted stairs as it moves on the wooden floor. But otherwise, its an amazing product

Love my new dyson vacuum. I have hardwood floors in my apartment and the vacuum works great in picking up dust, dirt, and pet hair ( I have two cats) The only downside is that if I want the vacuum to pick up larger debris ( for example a fruit loop size debris lol ) I need the soft roller, which is sold separate.
