This vacuum is so superior to my old Dyson cordless. The only thing that seems to be lacking is a longer battery cycle when using the more powerful setting. I can live with that.

I was so in love with my V6, the only draw back being run time, that I just had to try the V8. This is the best cordless vac ever, not sure if it's possible to love something you have to work with but I do love this machine

Extreme Suction Power!

I bought this vacuum as a supplement to my regular canister vac. I chose the Dyson V8 Absolute for the soft floor attachment for use on hardwood and linoleum floors. However, it's become my go-to vacuum for all my needs, including carpet! This cordless vac has lots of suction power!!! So much that I find myself grabbing the V8 for most of my vacuuming needs, including carpet! It's maneuverable and can get in and out of small spaces with ease. The first time I used it on carpet, I was amazed at how much dirt was in the canister. It is a well thought out product. I especially like being able to click a button and the dirt falls directly into a trash can. There are no costly bags to buy. I would definitely recommend the V8 Absolute!!!

Good stick vac!

I had this one for a couple years. It did a great job. My only desire was for a longer battery. The newer models have a larger capacity battery. But it’s great for doing a quick sweep of the main level of your home before people stop by. My sister bought 2! We love Dyson stick vacs!

Amazing results

After 2 months using the V8, I'm still amazed at how well it cleans. We have a dog and cleaning her bed is easy with this vacuum. The powered brushes do a very good job of getting the hair off the carpet and her bedding. Even on the low power setting, it cleans very well.
I would recommend this to a friend!
