Great Design - A joy to use.

Pleased to report this vacuum exceeds expectations on all counts. The machine (absent wand) cleaned deep pile carpeted stairs to basement all but effortlessly.

Significant Improvements On A Already Good Product

I'm a V6 owner who loved the ease and versatility of that device. The V8 only extends that further. The extra power is certainly noticeable, but the complete redesign of how debris is disposed of makes this a huge improvement over the V6 system. Definitely worth the upgrade!

Awesome vacuum cleaner

I purchased this vacuum about 3 weeks ago and I have been using it about every two to three days because it's a joy to operate and my floors look great! I have a medium haired dog and all laminate flooring. This vac works so well for my place and type of flooring. I also use it in the car and to clean the baseboards and closets. I am thrilled that I found this model. I purchased one of the ball vacs in 2011 and had been using that machine up until I bought the animal. I am thrilled! Thanks Dyson!

I just use this Dyson all the time, it is so easy and I never run out of power on high. It cleans my 1500 sq ft home and have power let.

My husband bought me this, and I do find it useful. For the price, I think the quality of the charging base could be better. It is powerful and easy. Easy to empty debris too.

Died after first use

We bought this for ourselves as a Christmas present, opened it up, charged it, used it around the house and it was great. Then we went to charge it again and it wasn't working, come to learn the battery was busted and we needed a new one. We've been waiting for over a week and the new battery still hasn't arrived. I'm not optimistic about the longevity of the product if the initial quality is this poor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
