Great vacuum. Battery is awful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Awesome vacuum. Battery does not hold a charge more than 10 odd minutes. Do not recommend this model. I assume they do this on purpose so that mor money is spent to buy the newest models
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The V8 cordless machine provides up to 40 minutes of run time, depending on the mode or combination of modes used. The powerful suction mode is ideal for the majority of the cleaning tasks. However, the machine also features a max mode, which is designed to be a temporary boost of power for particularly stubborn messes. As it is meant to be a temporary boost, the run time is a total of 8 minutes.

lightweight and easy to use

I was delighted to receive my new vacuum cleaner. Lightweight and very powerful. Easy to use on stairs and the different heads for both carpets and hardwoods are excellent. Easy to change all of the accessories.

This cordless vac is so easy and convenient to use. It works great on both my rug and hardwood floor. I just adopted a dog and needed a new vac to manage the fur. This one fits the bill

This thing SUCKS

I can’t say enough about this product. Our kids gave this to us for Christmas. We have central vac which is a chore but good 2x a month. The Dyson is handy and great for quick cleanups. The thing that amazed me was the suction power! After vacuuming with our central, we go over area carpets with Dyson, and fill the cup in 3 minutes. We’ve only had for two weeks, but so pressed!

Attachment Exposion

Works great around the house, but there are too many attachments and not enough wall hangers. The wall charging unit contains two slots and you can keep on attachment on the vacuum while charging but I have two other attachments with no place to store them. I don’t like the idea of using the bag to store the other attachments.
This unit is not good for cleaning cars as the vacuum body gets in the way while in tight spaces. It would be nice to have a flexible hose to attach to the vacuum and use the attachments in tight spaces.1

Nice Vacuum But .....

Vacuum has great power and I appreciate having both a hardwood and carpet heads and I like how much quieter it is. My V6 power was less, it only had a single vacuum head, and it was much noisier. The dirt collection compartment discharges more easily and much more thoroughly.
But, it is sad that the first time I used it, the battery didn't charge. I went through the Troubleshooting guide and chat, I was sent several additional questions to answer that contradicted the setup guide and it would be a couple of weeks before I would have the parts. Fortunately for me, I knew where the Dyson repair place was located since I had taken my V6 there. The V8 battery had to be replaced without ever using the vacuum, which they were able to do in less than 15minutes, .
