[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have mainly hardwood floors and low pile area rugs in my home and this little gem does the job! I use it daily and it's my favorite appliance in the house!

I love you Dyson V8, it picks up is amazing and I am tossing out my regular vacuum. Its amazing how it picks up pet hair...for me the best part of it all. The only down side is that it only stays charged for 30 minutes. I would still would highly recommend.

Great vacuum, but one drawback

We're very pleased with the overall function on our vacuum. Suction, ease-of-use, and all other aspects of the engineering meet or exceed our expectations. That being said, I think that Dyson has dropped the ball on one aspect. We purchased the V8 Absolute package, which comes with six different attachments. All are very useful for their own purpose. What surprised me was the fact that while the wall mount for the unit is thoughtfully laid out to hold two attachments (three if you count the motor unit itself), there was no consideration as to what we were supposed to do with the other three attachments. To be honest, for the well-over-$500 price tag, I would have thought that Dyson could have, at the very least, thrown in a $20 attachment caddie of some sort. And given that Dyson's stock in trade is the n-th degree engineering of every aspect of their products, I am surprised that a 6(5?)-attachment holder of some kind is not included, or at least available, with this package.

It's a Must Have in your Home!!

I can't say enough good things about this vacuum. I procrastinated in getting a Dyson because of the price and paid for numerous other vacuums that never completely did the job. Trust me, this is well worth the money! It's cordless, light weight, easy to handle and does absolutely everything I could possibly need. I have 5 dogs and they can create quite a mess sometimes...they are no match for my Dyson V8! Great suction and I use it daily on my hardwood floors. Couldn't imagine ever having another brand!! If you're on the fence, don't hesitate...GET IT!!
