I feel that it is the best Cordless Handheld yet

I have had this for a few weeks now and I believe it is the best handheld cordless that Dyson has made to date. Everything works just as advertised but I am puzzled as to why Dyson would make such a good unit and not give more attention to the little wheels on the Dyson V8 Absolute Fluffy Cleaner Head that I use on my hard wood floors. They rattle as you vacuum the floors and make the unit feel like you have vacuumed up something and is stuck inside the unit. Don't get me wrong, I love the way the Fluffy Cleaner works. It is just the cheap sounding rattling noise from the little wheels on the bottom going side to side as you vacuum that makes noise. The V8 is extremely quiet, so much more quiet than any other unit Dyson has made. That is why the wheel noise is so annoying. Other than that, I would highly recommend to buy this unit over any of the others.

I have vacuumed more with this vacuum than I have since I moved here six years ago! With hardwood and carpet and surfaces and upolstery it takes no time to shift and keep on cleaning. It’s a dream!

I bought the absolute three years ago.
I love the vacuum!! It’s lightweight and so easy to use on steps. Suddenly after 5 or ten minutes it stops. It appears from reading other reviews there are problems with the battery.
So I need a new vacuum cleaner. I’m afraid if I buy another Dyson - a upgraded model the same thing could happen
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So Powerful

I bought this a month ago. To replace a canister ball Dyson. I have a cordless Dyson for the first floor. And now I have one for the second floor. I purchased them two years apart. This newest Dyson is even more powerful. I just am very happy with Dyson products.

7 minutes ONLY :((

I've had this for about 2 years and it drives me nuts,,, since day one. Like the product description says, it runs only 7 minutes on high with an attachment. 10 minutes on regular. Who would use it without an attachment???
Anyway, it is a great performer BUT 7 minutes is only enough for a quick pick up around the floors. It cannot possibly be used to clean your house nor to quick-sweep more than two rooms. I can only use it for dust bunnies and crumbs and then it dies and need to recharge. Very irritating since it does do a good job.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Dyson V8 cordless vacuum cleaner has a run-time enhancing trigger. Battery power is only used when the trigger is pushed – it is not wasted when moving from room to room, or moving around obstacles. All of our cordless units do come switched on to MAX mode out of the box, otherwise, when not set to MAX mode, a full charge gives 40 minutes of fade free power or 30 minutes when using the motorized floor tool.
When using your machine in MAX with the direct-drive Motorhead, run time will be approximately 7 minutes. Dyson Animal and Absolute variants come equipped with a mini motorized head which is designed to pick up pet hair from furniture and stairs. You can also use this tool with the machine in MAX power for optimum pick-up, if you find that standard power is leaving pet hair behind.

Battery life

When I vacuum it only makes sense to use max power setting which has a short battery life and along with the high price not sure I made the best decision buying the vacuum u. I did NOT receive any free products!
