All I can say is where has this been all my life.! We have a large push vacuum we live. We have 6 pets. I’m amazed at the suction and what it picks up.

Amazing product

I recieved this as a gift from my daughters who know I am fussy about cleaning my house. It has changed my whole attitude toward this effort. It allows me to do everything in the easiest way I could imagine. Cordless! How great that is.

i purchased the dyson v8 in jan 2021 thinking it would meet my needs but even though it is light weight it really has unsatisfactory features. having to hold the on/off trigger the whole time is not good as well as the filter fills up only one one side. the handle rubs on my hand is uncomfortable. overall i am not happy with this vaccum.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Our V8 models have an operational weight of about 5.8 pounds, making them a great, easy-to-maneuver option. We know that battery run time is a very important aspect of performance for our owners, so we developed a trigger that helps maximize the amount of time you can clean on one charge. We chose a light-touch trigger over an on/off switch to ensure that battery life is never wasted by letting the machine run when it's not in active use.
We would certainly not expect there to be any type of pain, while holding or operating your machine. If you are finding this to be your experience, we would recommend holding the unit lower down the handle to prevent rubbing or pressure on the top of your hand. Excellent Choice

I have a whole house vacuum and I bought this for quick touch ups between vacuuming with the heavier duty vacuum. But this V8 is absolutely (very aptly named) super handy, powerful and fairly quiet! I'm finding myself vacuuming with the dyson so often I haven't had to drag out the 35' hose for the whole house vac.
It's my first experience with dyson and now I'm hooked!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
