Seriously. I love using this vacuum so much that I think it is fair to say vacuuming has transitioned from chore to hobby.

I just received this vacuum and so far I love it. I still have to get used to the way you empty it.
I do have the cordless V6 animal and that is great as well. I like the cordless because I have back pain and it's easy to use. Both stand up to any regular type vac. This is a good thing because I have two cats.
I use these two and nothing else.
The V8 is what I wanted for Christmas and got it early.
Get it you won't be sorry.

Yes cordless feature hooked me. The powerful diction and clean floors wowed me. The versatile attachments and portability makes cleaning better and more efficient. I vacuum my rugs, floors, and furniture easily.

I bought this vacuum a few weeks ago. At first I was hesitant about the price but once I began using it I never thought of that price again. Totally worth it !

Perfect size and weight

This is my second Dyson and my first cordless Dyson. I was skeptical that it would be a strong as my plug in Animal, but it is! I bought this for a small lakeside camp (750 sq ft) and it's now so easy to keep clean thanks to this cordless. The cordless model is small and lightweight, but has the ability to pick up all the dog hair and dirt we bring in from the lake and woods. I like that it has a recharging station so I know the vacuum is fully charged whenever I need to use it. The best part is the quick release to clean the canister. It's so easy and empties all the dirt and hair at once. In my Dyson Ball, I have to use my fingers to pull out the dirt and hair that gets stuck in the clear bin. My only complaint would be that there isn't a steady on position (you have to hold the trigger) and that I can't turn off the beater brush bar like in my other Dyson Ball. Also, there is no onboard tool attachment, so you have to bring the brush and crevice tools with you in your pocket. Otherwise - it's perfect. I'm looking forward to trying it in my car!

Making life easier!

We purchased our V8 Absolute a couple weeks ago and are so glad! The ease of storage and retrieval, ease of use (lightweight and no cord), and useful range of tools has helped reduce the time and effort required by cleanup. The V8 replaces multiple cleaning tools or methods and we find ourselves cleaning more and more often because it's just easier!
