I have had my Dyson for several months. This is my second cordless Dyson...I like the V8 much better. The length of time you can operate it is another great feature! Loved the first one & passed it down to my daughter. Now I love the new one even better!

It was Awesome! I could not believe how much this picked up. I was a little concerned that the battery wouldn't last until I was done but it wasn't a problem. I had a little trouble figuring out how to empty the canister but once I did I saw how simple it was.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Big improvement

I bought a V4 a long time ago, but it finally stopped taking a charge and Dyson had no solution. The V8 is a big improvement in terms of sound. Much quieter. The newer tools work better than the old with less clogging, and the device runs longer. Good progress!

Everything is great. Just wish the dirt tank was bigger and there was a provided accessory tool to keep all of the attachments locked into one place that you could hang on the wall.

Max power doesn’t work

I like this vacuum a lot for quick daily cleanups. With a dog in the house, it’s perfect for hardwoods and area rugs. Unfortunately I can’t use the high suction setting. It immediately shuts off when on high. I do love the various attachments for cleaning upholstery and other off the floor surfaces.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The V8 comes with two suction modes: powerful suction mode and max mode. Powerful suction mode is ideal for the majority of cleaning tasks and provides up to 40 minutes. The max mode is created to be a temporary boost of power for particularly stubborn messes, and provides a total 8 minutes of run time alone.
To keep the machine running at the optimal level, routine maintenance is required. However, the maintenance is quite simple and outlined in the user manual. We also have videos that give a visual guide on our Dyson Support page.

My favorite vacuum ever

I can vacuum my home faster and better than ever. It is so easy to use and so efficient. I have three cats, and this is the best vacuum to pick up their hair. I only wish the additional tools were available. I cannot clean crevices, and the tool provided to clean upholstery is not efficient. I also have the hair dryer. I wonder why I waited so long to get both.

Love it!

I've been wanting a cordless vacuum for quite a while. I have two small kids and crums and dirt are a constant battle. My upright Dyson never got put away because It was used almost everyday and we were always tripping over the cord. The cordless Dyson makes cleaning more convenient and the light weight design even allows for my 3 year old to help clean. Couldn't be happier.

Better than the DC44 (OG)

I had the original DC44 animal vac, loved it, had extra batteries even. These things can get into small places, the new one is no different. They are light, the V8 feels lighter. Handles stairs real well.
So the V8, in regular power has just as much suction as the DC44 on max, I hardly use max at all, doesn’t seem needed. Tile floors are a breeze. The carpet MUST be done on regular, as max is so powerful it doesn’t want to move on the carpet as easy. It feel as strong as floor model. The things I was disappointed in with the new one is the lack of ability to change batteries like the old. I don’t have an outlet where I hang this and it’s hella inconvenient to leave it sit out for a charge. The battery power indication is a plus though. It’s nice that you added more attachments to the package, but the lack of space available on the stowage unit for them is irritating.
Overall I am happy with unit. It sucks :)
