Good Vacuum except for shag carpets

I've had my eye on a Dyson for a while. My previous vacuum finally died so I took the leap. I like how it cleans the tile floors and the low pile area rugs. However, we recently purchased a high pile shag rug and the suction does not allow to push and pull the vacuum. It's more like a pulling/raking motion required. I checked out other reviews and apparently this is a known problem that Dyson has not been able to fix. I really wish this would work better on the shag rug. Otherwise I think it's great.

Amazing Cordless Vac

This one replaced our older model and we can’t believe how much nicer this one is. I am confused by any negative reviews on here. Suction is great, it maneuvers around furniture well and holds a charge to last thru your vacuuming. We use daily on our tile floors and couldn’t be happier. You will not be sorry with this choice.

Battery life is not long enough for the price

I bought this Dyson and I loved it. It picked up dog hair beautifully. I used it everyday. As time went on I had to charge it more often. Then in less than a year the battery completely died. For the price I paid for this vacuum i would expect it to last longer. I am very disappointed in Dyson since it is advertised as such a good product. I don’t feel I got my money’s worth at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm in Love

I bought the Dyson V8 Absolute a few weeks ago and I am extremely happy with my purchase. I can vacuum my entire house plus all the rugs and still have 2 full lines of charge left. It's light weight, quick, and easy. The suction on this machine is amazing. My floors are spotless, even if I did not mop the floors on that day. I honestly don't know how I survived so long without this machine, my life has just become a thousand times easier. It was worth every penny.

Bad to the bone

Worth every dollar! We have hardwood and tile throughout our house, I always use a swiffer extra-large duster and thought that thoroughly did the job but with the addition of another cat the litter was out of control. I purchased this hoping it would fix everything and it has performed above and beyond my expectations this is the best product I've ever used for cleaning my house.

Buy it from QVC and you'll get all the attachments. Works great...Easy to use with no cord hassle...Good suction with all attachments...I find I'm cleaning more often because it's fast and easy.

All I want to do is vacuum!! It’s so easy and convenient to vacuum now with no cord and with such a lightweight vacuum. I also love all the attachments and used them to clean our cars, cat trees, and so much more. Cant believe I lived my life without a Dyson for this long!!
