I’ve owned this for about two months, use it almost daily and love it. My house is big with tile floors throughout… I wish the battery lasted even longer, but I do half the house one morning and the other half the next day. Wow a lot of dust and grunge comes out every time! It would be helpful if they made a little chart to show exactly what each attachment is for… that doesn’t seem to be in the instruction booklet. Regardless, I love it.

This machine is very efficient, light and powerful. Before purchasing Dyson V8 I had a hard time cleaning my tile floors but my floors now are very shiny and clean. It is also very easy and safe to vacuum my rugs.
The only problem I have is emptying the bin. It is very tricky to open it, I feel the red thing will break every time I pull the red plastic thing.
In general, this is an excellent machine and so far I am loving it!!! This is my third Dyson vacuum and I believe Dyson is the best.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Got it for Christmas. Have vacuumed almost every possible thing in my house. Quick and easy for those little messes and long enough battery life to vacuum my whole large first floor with battery left. Just haven't gotten upstairs with it yet. I have used every attachment already. The only thing I would change is the docking station should hold every attachment instead of just 2. Also, I found the directions booklet lacking in information.
Love it so far! Time will tell

In the midst of 6 month old twins and our Australian Shephers, our Dyson is the perfect addition to our family. Quick, easy, effective. I can never have any other vacuum.

V8 Absolute (yellow) is great!

Bought this last month after hearing my daughter rave about hers. Chose the V8 Absolute because I wanted two different cleaning heads: one for hardwood floors (most of my house) and one for rugs/carpeting. I also have a dog that sheds a fair amount. so what I love about the Dyson is cordless and lightweight ease of use through a three story home. The handheld motor head is ideal for keeping my carpeted stairs clean. The charge allows me to do what I need and has not run out on me. The accessories are very useful, including the storage bag. I’m not convinced the suction is as strong as I thought it would be, but that said, the vacuum is effective. The cordless feature is a dream: I vacuum more frequently but with far less hassle or physical demand. The unit is so easy to clean, and really makes you realize how dusty a home gets! I mounted my unit in the basement making use of a never utilized outlet! And shipping time was literally 2 days.

Lightweight and easy to use

I like using this vacuum. It is lightweight and can be used underneath beds and other furniture easily. I’d give it 5 stars if the battery life was longer. I typically use up the battery cleaning my house. The high setting on carpet will run it down in a hurry.

Had used both my daughters battery powered vacuums and loved them. Finally, got one for myself. It does all the things that it claims. As noted in some of the other reviews, I did not expect the Dyson to run all day before needing to recharge it. My only problem is is emptying the bucket so often but that is because of my carpet. I own an upright Dyson and like it too. I love the portability of this vacuum. The max suction worked great in my truck on the seat. Even though I put a sheet down, my two dos will sometimes move the sheet and get dog hair on the sheet. The handheld on max took the fur right off. What I was looking for.
