I can’t sweep more then 10 minutes before my battery dies. I have another Dyson that I have had for years and I absolutely love it. It does have great suction but I want to be able to sweep my entire house, it’s only 1400 square feet. Not worth the money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that thus far in your use, you've found that the Dyson V8 Absolute isn't providing you with sufficient run times. The V8 Absolute will come with standard and Max power modes. Our cordless models also have a run-time enhancing light touch trigger which ensures battery power is only used when the trigger is pushed. In Max power run time will be up to 7 minutes, and in standard power, you can expect run times of up to 30-40 minutes depending on which tool or attachments you are using. Simply the BEST Dyson yet!

So light and easy to use in all regards. Initially concerned that the on trigger had to be held down during use -- not a concern. It is used for quick clean ups and could not be more pleased. Still use the larger Dyson for rugs and carpets. Looking forward to using on furniture and other hand-held jobs.

Large performance in small package keeps impressing us!

A couple weeks into owning the V8 absolute.
Highs: Hardwood floor performance with the specific hard floor head is impressive, the edge cleaning is better than any vacuum I've ever used, it doesn't throw debris away from the head it just picks it up. Really great so far for hard floors.
The carpet head is working well also for carpet and rugs. Switch on the high suction and it excels on stairs and hard to reach areas. I really like it for the stairs.
Car cleaning: used it for first time today and the smaller beater brush did wonders on 3 cars carpet, used it on high suction.
Assembly, changing heads and attachments could't be easier.
Cons: narrow head design takes a while to cover a large floor and is a little squirrely at times to control. Emptying the debris bin is tricky at best. Suggest doing it outside where spilling won't be a problem. The issue being the way the dirt ejects from the bin pulling the release button. Also having to maintain the trigger pressed "ON" the entire time you clean gets fatiguing on your hand.

Amazing product!!

This product is a game-changer. I am not one to write reviews but felt it was necessary as this product is exactly what I was looking for and works as great as I had hoped. The product has amazing suction power and can be used for numerous projects like cleaning your rugs and hardwood floors as well as your car and any other projects due to the numerous tools provided. Did I mention it was cordless with amazing suction power!!! Home run Dyson!

Battery doesn't last

Takes 3.5 hours to charge and battery lasts 15 minutes, totally useless vaccuum

Have had no complaints with this vacuum. Had one issue and called customer service. Customer service was patient with me, explained what to do and issue was gone. Would highly recommend this vacuum.
