Makes vacuuming easier

I bought this product a couple of weeks ago, it makes vacuuming easier, easy to move around, it’s light , good for car too

Problem Handle

I purchased a Dyson Absolute vacuum last weekend and was excited to try it.
After several minutes of use however, I found the design of the rigid plastic handle to be problematic. I had to keep my forefinger constantly on the trigger while in use, while gripping the handle with the rest of my hand. This resulted in a blister forming on the top of my thumb from the underside of the handle. I had to put a band aid on before continuing use.
Without a doubt the Dyson did a great job of cleaning but I’m disappointed with the overall design.
Coincidentally, when I discussed this issue with a friend who had recently bought a similar one, she experienced the same problem!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Perfect for my Manhattan apartment

I read a comparison review to see which Dyson would be best for me. I had a big upright Dyson Animal before and I loved it but this is really so much better for my needs. It is much lighter and easier to use and switching attachments is super easy. It has a smaller head so gets into places easier that I couldn't reach with the bigger model. It makes cleaning my very large NYC apartment a dream, and I actually look forward to using it. I can easily whip it out for a quick clean up or touch up when I'm having guests and hide it back away as it takes very little space. It came with a really nice bag for holding all the attachments and once again you get what you pay for. Dyson is worth it.

So easy!

I bought this V8 a few weeks ago and have been using it almost daily. I have back problems and bad arthritis and found corded vacs or shop vacs hard to use. This vac is wonderful. No cord, long reach without bending, flexible and easy turning head and no cord to tangle and have to re-plug. Fantastic! Different attachments go on with a simple click and without having to screw. I have 2 cats and this vac gets their hair and litter trail in one swipe. With the other vacs I had to swipe over and over again to get the floor or rug clean. V8 = 1 swipe! Best of all I do not have to get my hands dirty to empty. The pull up top latch is easy and the bottom drops out with all that the vac picked up. Very, very neat. I really do not know what I would do without this wonderful machine.

I can’t sweep more then 10 minutes before my battery dies. I have another Dyson that I have had for years and I absolutely love it. It does have great suction but I want to be able to sweep my entire house, it’s only 1400 square feet. Not worth the money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that thus far in your use, you've found that the Dyson V8 Absolute isn't providing you with sufficient run times. The V8 Absolute will come with standard and Max power modes. Our cordless models also have a run-time enhancing light touch trigger which ensures battery power is only used when the trigger is pushed. In Max power run time will be up to 7 minutes, and in standard power, you can expect run times of up to 30-40 minutes depending on which tool or attachments you are using. So light and easy to use in all regards. Initially concerned that the on trigger had to be held down during use -- not a concern. It is used for quick clean ups and could not be more pleased. Still use the larger Dyson for rugs and carpets. Looking forward to using on furniture and other hand-held jobs.
