Better than my V7

I had the v7 for years, but the battery died. The V8 is quieter and runs much longer without recharging. I like the new one a lot.

Although this machine is a little pricey, I found it worth every cent. Great suction, the head manipulates around and under tight places. Without having to plug, unplug, drag a machine around, 40 mins.is enough to do my 4-bedroom 1-story home. Great for my arthritis - light-weight, easy to handle.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Compact, Powerful, Convenient

I have had this vacuum for several months now. I have two cats and a dog. So, needless to say, a lot of animal fur in my house. This vacuum, if used weekly or more often, picks up everything without a problem. If it looses suction it is easy enough to clean it out. If you have heavy duty jobs to do, like you have cleaned for months, or there was a ton of sheetrock, this vacuum will do the job, but a plug in Dyson is going to be more efficient for you.
Side note: If you clean everything out and still have lost suction, you will probably have to wash the filters to get the suction back. It takes them a day or two to dry out. Probably depends on how warm your house is.

Super Handy but has flaws

Overlooking the high price I bought this to replace a corded upright. The convenience is really nice, it works well, and the battery lasts plenty long enough for my use. BUT... It looks like a 10 year old drew a pistol and they used it for the handle and trigger. When using it on floors, the angle of the handle cramps your wrist after a while and the guard, or whatever it is under the trigger, pulls your index finger sideways into a very unnatural position. If they would make the trigger larger and hooked they wouldn't need that guard thing. I'll be cutting it off of mine.

Does great on hardwood, carpets not so much

I have a medium sized area rug, probably around 1-inch long material (not like a shag carpet) and the vacuum attachments instantly get stuck when trying to vacuum the rug. Tried both speeds, same thing. On hardwood floors and everything else, does great!
I would recommend this to a friend!
