So convenient!

We've had this for a few weeks now and it's amazing! We have two young kids and a dog that sheds like crazy so we have lots of messes and ask a lot of our vacuums and this is by far the best overall vacuum I've had. The only thing I don't totally love about it is the bin and how it empties. It's very simple but some things don't empty all the way so I have to reach in occasionally to clean it out. No big deal though, considering how well this vacuum works. It is very well thought out!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I really liked the Dyson V8. Like it's other products, it has two modes - Max and Normal. It picks up great and the design makes disposal easy. The long pole makes cleaning under the bed, sofa, and other hard to reach areas a breeze. I wish the battery life was longer. Hoping the second generation V8 fixes this issue. It only lasts 6-8 mins on max mode. 15 mins would be ideal.

Light weight with great suction

I love this vacuum!. Easier than brushing my hard floors, and a breeze on the rugs. I zip through the rooms in no time flat. Great purchase! If you have the opportunity buy one

After years with one of the original Dyson rechargeable vacuums, I started with my second but this time with the V8. Luckily I didn’t have to change my charging setup too much to reset with the new one. The vacuum placed on max suction actually make more difficult to use on my carpet. So I use that setting on tile and select and large throw rugs. The longer lasting setting actually is all I need. I like the way the filter and dump system works.... Much more efficient than my first Dyson. Also.... I find the rechargeable much more practical than the chorded Dyson (Ball variety) so it’s my go to vacuum!

I’ll never buy another vacuum ever again because this one has my heart! It grabs every bit of pet hair and cat litter, couldn’t ask for anything better!

Great vacuum

I love the V8 vacuum. It cleans floors and gathers all the dust. I have never had such a clean experience and a great feel that my floors were so clean. I would recommend this unit for anyone that wants to go cordless and feel that their floors are clean and dust free.

Battery power

Like the lightweight of this vac, but the battery on Max does not last long.

Hi Dave, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're happy to hear that you've found the V8 Absolute to be so light weight and convenient to use around your home. Your machine offers two suction modes - regular and MAX. Right out of the box, the machine is going to be set to MAX. This mode provides a boost of suction making it ideal for larger messes or more stubborn debris. This mode does give less run time - about 7 minutes or so. Regular power, which should be sufficient for everyday cleaning, will give you up to 30-40 minutes of run time, depending on if you're using the motorized floor tool.
