Good but...

Shipping was delayed by a week but I received my vacuum a couple days ago, charged it for about 5/6 hours but the battery stays on 2 out of 3 bars. I don't know if it's defective but it doesn't give me a lot of time for use even on extended run setting. Other than that, the vacuum is perfect. Love all the attachments , really makes cleaning a less stressful experience.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Absolutely a must have!

Don't know what I would do without it. The two power settings are so convenient. I really like the longer running time. Even on the low setting the power head cleans carpet very well. I have lots of hard wood and the soft head cleans so well. One of my favorite features is how simple and easy it is to empty the collection bin. I would definitely buy again. Dyson you have another winner on your hands!

First of all; I have a DC33 for almost 10 years and it is still working excellent, I had repaired a minor cosmetic issue but this is a great tool from Dyson. I really appreciate the thoughtful design of these machines and everything that Dyson produces. This is an outstanding company. Now, we bought the V8 Absolute and we are even more impressed with such beautiful design, with such a great details and mostly with the efficiency of a Dyson. The quality of the VB-Absolute is visible and tangible; this is a great investment and a great tool to implement in our home. We can clean our vehicles and every single place inside our home, easily and more efficiently. We really appreciate such professional and outstanding company. Big thank you.

How did i live without this

Have had my Dyson V8 Absolute for 3 weeks. I use it daily and absolutely love it.
From pet hair on couches to floors, it cleans it all, almost effortlessly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Only 25 minute battery life on first use.

Just received this yesterday. Charged it overnight - used only the fluffy head and the brush attachment (none of the motorized brush heads). Ran it at 2.5 minutes on max, the rest on low power mode. This is disappointing given the battery life will only deteriorate. Horrible to not be done with a job then have to wait hours to finish so it can recharge. I must need instructions on which attachment can actually get 40 minutes because I was nowhere close!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you've had issues with run times with your new Dyson V8 Absolute. On a full charge, which can take up to 5 hours depending on battery depletion, your machine offers up to 40 minutes of run time. This would be in the regular suction mode, with any non-motorized tool such a soft dusting brush or combination tool. Using your direct-drive cleaner head, the fluffy soft roller head or the mini motorized tool would give up to 30 minutes in regular suction mode. When using MAX, which is only intended to provide a boost of suction for larger debris or more stubborn messes, run time will be up to 7 minutes. We would also suggest that to help prolong the life of your machine's battery, to allow the machine time to cool down after use, before placing back on to charge again.

A lot more powerful than I expected

I used this first time on the carpet to pick up some cat litter that got spilled, the cleaners had just come the day before, I was amazed that even on normal power, not only did it pick up all the litter but the little bin thingy was full of cat hair and dust!

We just bought this vacuum about a week ago and it is absolutely amazing! Easy to use. Sucks up all the dirt and dog hair from our floors and furniture. If any doubts about this product, put them behind you and buy this vacuum! So worth the money.
