Dyson V8 Absolute - ly Fantastic!

We have all vinyl flooring in our small condo. This vacuum is so easy to pick up virtually anything on the floor. It fast & easy to handle. Re-charges in a timely manner. And we've taken to allowing full battery drawdown every 4 weeks as recommended for battery life. We love this vacuum.

I love this vaccum, it works extremely well and is so easy to use. It is easy to empty and easy to clean the filters as well as all the parts. I can clean my whole apartment on one charge and it takes about 5 hours to fully charge. Ive had no problems with parts and the website has so many good videos if you have questions. My only issues is that you have to hold down the button to keep the vacuum running and it has created blisters on my hand. It would be nice if there was some kind of cushion.

A friend has one and just loved her's, she has hard floors and so do I, so I bought one and have been very happy with it since. Although it says it works on carpet, it does not work on all carpet, the carpet must be a very short nap for it to work. It is easy to maneuver and I really like how it turns easily around corners and under furniture. I haven't had the chance to use the tools yet but look forward to using them as I know the will work just as good.

Terrible. Waste of money

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum is not good. The battery life is subpar at best. Picks up debris on the ground when it feels like it. Heaven forbid you have to pick up long hair.
11/10 wouldn’t buy again
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Dyson V8 ANIMAL/Titanium

Love this vacuum. So lightweight to hold/use. I have a small home with 4 cats and all hardwood floors with a few long-hair wool rugs. The V8 ANIMAL picks-up hairs and dirt in seconds with one pass. Also picks-up hairs on sofa, bedding I even cleaned my window screens! I’ve used each attachment with success and ease. Clearing out the receptacle is so easy too and getting to each part is simple (for cleaning). The machine is so compact that it can be tucked-away or left out and be out of the way. The docking station is super handy. I don’t mind pulling this out all day long just for the fun of using it! Ha! Imagine: cleaning IS FUN with my Dyson V8 Animal. ps: it’s QUIET enough that the cats don’t scatter!

The Dyson V8 Absolute comes with the direct-drive cleanerhead included, which digs deep into carpet fibers to grab ground-in debris and dirt. The V8 also has two modes: powerful suction mode and max mode. While powerful suction mode is ideal for the majority of cleaning tasks, the max mode is there if you need a temporary boost of power for particularly stubborn messes.
The V8 cordless machine is suitable for most flooring types. However, we are unable to test our machines on every flooring permutation out there. Therefore, we always recommend that you contact your carpet retailer/manufacturer before using your new Dyson or any other vacuum cleaner.
