Great concept for cordless

I bought this well over two years now. Yes I do like it a lot. It gets the job done. But I would like the high suction to run for a longer period of time, as well as the battery to be detachable. Those are my only reasons to knock off the fifth star. A detachable battery and option to purchase batteries would make it 5 complete stars for me. I love this vacuum for my everyday use! Picks up children’s messes and my labradoodles shedding in a second! I do recommend to anyone. I love the attachments too.

best vacuum I have ever had

This was a gift, and in the past I would not asked for a vacuum for a gift, but this was the cats meow. Easy, gets in every corner, under every chair.

Like this vacuum. Did not hang it on the wall with device attachment as I couldn’t find a spare place on the wall. I only wish that the vacuum stayed upright. I have it resting against another object so it stays in place.

Performance and value do not match

I received the V8 as a gift and have used it several times. It's suction power using the brush roller is not very good. It takes me several swipes to get it to suck up something as simple as a dead fly off of the carpet.
I like how light it is and love the cordless but I would not recommend it for use on a carpet. On the floor it works well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ease of operation

We bought our dyson v8 absolute last month and we really enjoy it. It's sucking power is excellent for a cordless vac. It's nice to be able to go anyplace with it and not lug a long cord and hose. Very easy to operate and light weight
At this point we are very pleased with our purchase

Finally, power and battery life!

Over the years, I have purchased many rechargeable vacuums, hoping that they will surprise me with enough power and battery life. Finally, a machine has both. We used this in a small home and it cleaned everything on a single charge. Floors, carpet, blinds and more. Great tool selection and recharging in the mounting bracket!

Dyson V8 Absolute is fantastic

Purchased the V8 Absolute about 3 weeks ago. Planned on only using it for quick cleanups and for areas where dragging a corded vacuum would be more of a chore. But this V8 works so well and the battery life is sufficient for our needs that we find that this is the vacuum that is being grabbed for all of our vacuuming needs. Our corded vacuum isn't seeing much action anymore! I would recommend this vacuum to anyone needing a powerful but cordless machine for any vacuuming needs. It is well worth its price!

I have had the Animal 2 weeks. It “pulses” within minutes each time. I have read this means there is a clog of some sorts. I have tried to wash/dry the filter, empty the tank thoroughly and regularly, and make sure there are no blockages. I think it cleans great, it is just time consuming so far to keep running. The suction is impressive. I vacuum about 3-4 times a week. Overall, given this, I’m willing to keep trying.
