We bought our dyson v8 absolute last month and we really enjoy it. It's sucking power is excellent for a cordless vac. It's nice to be able to go anyplace with it and not lug a long cord and hose. Very easy to operate and light weight
At this point we are very pleased with our purchase

Finally, power and battery life!

Over the years, I have purchased many rechargeable vacuums, hoping that they will surprise me with enough power and battery life. Finally, a machine has both. We used this in a small home and it cleaned everything on a single charge. Floors, carpet, blinds and more. Great tool selection and recharging in the mounting bracket!

Dyson V8 Absolute is fantastic

Purchased the V8 Absolute about 3 weeks ago. Planned on only using it for quick cleanups and for areas where dragging a corded vacuum would be more of a chore. But this V8 works so well and the battery life is sufficient for our needs that we find that this is the vacuum that is being grabbed for all of our vacuuming needs. Our corded vacuum isn't seeing much action anymore! I would recommend this vacuum to anyone needing a powerful but cordless machine for any vacuuming needs. It is well worth its price!

I have had the Animal 2 weeks. It “pulses” within minutes each time. I have read this means there is a clog of some sorts. I have tried to wash/dry the filter, empty the tank thoroughly and regularly, and make sure there are no blockages. I think it cleans great, it is just time consuming so far to keep running. The suction is impressive. I vacuum about 3-4 times a week. Overall, given this, I’m willing to keep trying.

I bought this 2 weeks ago and I am Inlove!! Very convenient and does a perfect job keeping my carpet clean.. best thing is how you can clean the dust compartment after use

This is a great machine!! It performs well & the battery seems to last without slowing down at all. I have a 4200 sq ft home, & I appreciate the fact that it does a good job on both hard & soft surfaces. Rates a "5" for picking up dog hair & fine dust. Only suggestion would be to install a switch that doesn't have to be held down continuously. That's the only reason I couldn't give it 5 stars. Having to hold the switch with my hand in that position makes for a blister on my thumb. However, I have already recommended this product to several of my friends.

My new Dyson V8 is more powerful and quieter! I love it because it makes vacuuming for me much easier, as I suffer from arthritis.
