The Best All Around Cordless!!!

I wanted a cordless stick vacuum that was light weight - I was tired of hauling around my upright for touch-up jobs for daily furniture and floors due to having an little cute albeit messy pug. This V8 is amazing for a little cordless! I didn’t expect much out of it honestly, but I can’t believe how much it picks up the pet hair! It’s pretty quiet for a little vacuum! My dog just follows me around instead of freaking out and barking at the upright. The attachments are well-made and click into place securely. It’s nice to know that there is replacement parts like filters and even brushes and the stick parts if they need replacing. I don’t have a problem with the upkeep of rinsing the two filters and letting them dry monthly. The canister is easy to empty and I wipe it down with a damp cloth once a week or every so often. I love it. Touch up cleaning is quick and easy, instead of hauling out “Big Betty” the upright. Yep, it was a splurge, I could’ve lived without the V8 since I have an upright, but honestly I am using this more daily and the upright a few times a week or less. It cuts down in bags. I hope it lasts. The suction power is amazing for what it is and it has two suction power modes. The battery lasts 40-45 mins. I have been really happy with my Dyson products that I do have (Airwrap, Dryer, this V8). I really think this V8 is great! I would’ve gotten the nicer model, but Best Buy didn’t have it in stock, but even this entry level didn’t disappoint me!

This is my 5th dyson and I think it is the "cherry on top". As my needs have changed, I have updated my machines. (My son is the happy receiptant of the hand-me-downs). It is the best so far. Light weight and powerful and the accessories are much easier to change than my previous hand-held. Thrilled with my purchase.

when I first used it I found the unit to be top heavy but that is where the battery is and should be expected. This unit does everything except does not have the capacity of a shop vac and that is why I have a shop vac. I could not be happier with this unit I find myself cleaning more frequently because it is so convenient for wood floors and carpet and cars and small messes.

I have been researching different lightweight vacuums for awhile because of an injured back and a rotary cuff injury. I already owned an Animal upright for eight years now and love the quality of Dyson. I wanted something I could use on a daily basis because of my dog and several cats. Lots of hair! I just used my new Dyson V8 Absolute for the first time today and could not believe how something so light and small could do such a fantastic job! I have no pain in my shoulder after cleaning my whole house! Thank you Dyson. I can't wait to try all the attachments!
